Had a reservation still had to wait 2 hours. The food use to be good, but that is not the case anymore. The food was down right bad! It was greasy and some not even editable. I am so sad to see this place going down the drain. They had run out of white and sparkling wine. Every beer we tried to order was out as well. Sad!!!
MUST GO!. Scratch is innovative and delicious. I’ve had some of the best meals of my life at this restaurant.
Nice Environment, Overpriced Tapas and Bland Selections. Other than the ambience making you feel as though your were in chic Manhattan or DC, I will have to say this place ain’t what I expected from being a tapas restaurant. Having lived in DC for 4 years, most tapa restaurants serve better quality of food for less expensive prices. The tapas are overpriced and the selection of drinks are limited. I do like the aspect of daily updated dinner menu, but most of the selections I tried on that particular day were bland. Do not go for the canaveral shrimp. The pork belly and the paparadelle were the only decent portions of food that I had tried. I was unfortunate that the duck dish was not on their dinner menu that day either. I would recommend eating dinner and drinks before you come or come to experience the ambiance. Tapas should not be priced that heavily as they are considered to be appetizers.
Overpriced tapas… Really can’t share items.. It’s like having 3 bites and it’s done…They ran out of items. No chicken dishes.. I wouldn’t be surprise if this place last for another 3 months. I would have a little meal before going here.. This place will remind you of a overprice New York restaurant…
Good food with painfully loud music. Every food selection was creative and delicious. Beer selections were good. Background music was 50’s popular oldies and painfully loud.
Amazing!. Scratch is awesome! The food is amazing. Great beer and wine selection. We had a few dishes and they were all great. Sweet Corn Risotto was outstanding. The Pork Belly Adobo and Loup de Mer were incredible. Everything we had was perfectly prepared and all the elements of the dishes worked together to make each bite amazing. Steve was our server and he did a great job of making recommendations and explaining in detail all of the dishes. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. We will definitely be back!
Great ambience. Great food. Great servers and chefs. Pork belly adobo tasted as if it was made in the Philippines!
