I am a big fan of ravenous so I have been wanting to check this place for a while. The concept is farm to table and local producer when possible, like the mother restaurant.I got the southern Cuban and the Turkey sandwich. The latter was the best, avocado, turkey, bacon, arugula on an grain bread, but what makes it delicious is their homemade tomato confit!! If you are a pickle person then their pickles are to die for!You can buy their sauces, mustard, pickles, cheese, ice cream and so much more in their mini grocery store!

The food is very special here. Everything is made in house which gives the whole experience a special feel. Sandwiches are delicious, sides are delicious, sauces are spectacular. It is a pricey experience, but at the end of the day, I leave having loved the food which takes away the pain in my wallet and I also love supporting local ownership.

Disappointing. As a fan of Cask & Larder and The Ravenous Pig, I expected more from Swine & Sons. Having experienced amazing restaurants with a similar concept, namely Cochon Butcher in New Orleans and Salumi in Seattle, perhaps my expectations were just too high for this restaurant. We went on a whim last Thursday evening, and were excited to find the restaurant mostly empty. Usually, when we visit a restaurant that has just opened, and are lucky enough to come at a slow time, we love hearing from the staff about the menu and everything there is to offer. There was none of that here. The cashier seemed confused, had no idea what cheese was provided with the charcuterie, and did not offer any explanations for any of the food or drink available. She said that specials were not available until the next week, but had no suggestions for sides or menu items. We blindly ordered a sandwich, a charcuterie board, and the ham jam/pimento dip and a couple beers. $52 later we took a seat and waited for our food to arrive. A server came by and dropped off our charcuterie plate and some chips, saying she had dropped our Cuban and would make another. No explanation of what meats were in front of us was offered. The meat was good, but nothing to write home about. The sandwich that finally arrived was lackluster, greasy, and the bread, although fresh, was not what I’d expect from a Cuban sandwich. The ham jam was interesting, and the presentation of the food was good. We enjoyed the hot sauce from the counter. No one once asked us how we were enjoying our meal, despite being the only ones at the restaurant once our food arrived. I felt that there was no friendly service or rapport like we are used to at their sister locations. Overall, I was very disappointed and am not sure I would give it another chance. The concept is good, and it has so much potential, but it definitely did not live up to the hype for us.

Awesome sandwich and provisions shop from the creators of Rav Pig and Cask; house cured meats, lots of great sides. The Italian is awesome and don’t miss the beef jerky!
