Everything was delicious and fresh. The calamari was perfectly cooked and all the sides were large and delicious. Red snapper, fish and chips, blackened grouper – all perfectly cooked and delicious. They even make a tolerable brussel sprout side and they usually make me sick.
There’s a reason it’s in the 10 best list. Wife and I were on vacation and really wanting some fresh, non-chain seafood, and saw Winter Park Fish Co. on the top of a local 10 best list. After a short wait, we decided to start with the Grouper Nugs in Yum Yum sauce. No sauce has been more properly named. YUM YUM. Fish was prepared perfectly and that sauce….oh my. Honestly, if I went back, I’d just order these and maybe a side of fired or something a leave a happy guy.Well, I didn’t do that because…..TACO TUESDAY! $2 fish tacos??? Yes please. I ordered one (or maybe two) along with a fish po boy. The tacos were definitely the standout. Huge chunks of mahi mahi on a tortilla and cooked to perfection. The fish po boy was good, but needed a little hot sauce to liven it up. Again, perfectly prepared fish, but, if I went back, I’d just load up on the tacos. My wife got shrimp and fish and was very quiet throughout the meal because her mouth was full. All she said was how fresh everything tasted and how much she loved it.Final bill with drinks and tip was around $50. Well worth it.
The best fish place. Went here last Saturday for the first time, but definitely not the last. The trout was delicious. The zucchini mix was also wonderful. Can’t wait to try the giant scallops! Great food and service. Very knowledgeable staff.
Taco Tuesdays!. Ahi tuna chili is to die for. How can you beat $2 Ahi Tuna taco. Finish it off with a bottle, or two of Yuengling, life is good!
Good Variety and some of the freshest Seafood. We have been going to Winter Park Fish Co. since it opened. My husband is a big fan of their shrimp and grits. He rarely ventures away from it. I typically pick something off the fresh fish board. The scallops were delicious as was the cobia. One thing I would recommend is that the servers have some recommendations as to fish-topping pairings to try. There are a lot of choices so it can be overwhelming. I always get the couscous as a side. It is delicious!! The green beans as a side are also typically good – a very homemade taste. A neat thing they do is give you a sample of their dip to start. It is typically their tuna salad but last time it was their smoked salmon dip. The smoked salmon dip was the perfect amount of smoky with a great kick of chopped, pickled jalapeos. We are always too full to try the desserts but they look good.
Like most restaurants in Winter Parl the language of the menu for suppresses the execution of the food. Not worth the price and I will never go back.
Average. Have been here twice. Everything is ok, nothing is really good. My wife had the fish tacos and told the waitress that the coleslaw didn’t taste fresh. Her only response at the end of the meal was – sorry we weren’t excited about the fish tacos. We won’t be back.
