Best food in town!. Excellent choice of food, all of which is made with the freshest ingredients! When I want a choice cut of prime rib or steak, I can count on blackstones every time. Very friendly and professional wait staff as well.
Great service new attitude!. There have been many changes in Blackstone’s before and after their kitchen fire. The best in their staff was retained and new chef has been hired. The disgusting salad bar (not that theirs was disgusting but my personal opinion of all salad bars where many put their hands in) was replaced with very generous size fresh individual salad or large bowl of homemade soup and loaf of warm dark bread with cinnamon butter…delish and filling on its own. However…try one of the chefs new specials such as bourbon brown sugar pork chop, braised pork shank in marmalade and mushrooms, or blue cheese rib eye steak. TVs are located in the bar area…not in the restaurant and are perfect for game days to sit in more upscale restaurant rather than rowdy sports bar as other reviewers have suggested. Glad to see they are making the changes to transition from the grumpier old atmosphere to accommodate a younger money spending crowd! Keep up the good work! Finish updating the space and keep adding new specials!
Nice Place. The restaurant was nice, clean and the wait staff was courteous. The lounge/bar has a friendly atmosphere. I ordered the Sizzling Chicken dinner without mushrooms. It came with vegetables and a nice salad and a loaf of bread, which I declined (diet). The chicken came out sizzling on a metal plate and it was delicious. The vegetables were seasoned nicely and the salad was fresh. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and will go back again.
Not what we had planned. We rolled in here because my Mother had the menu in her goods…we wanted to have something local & the choices looked good…that’s about all that was good.Recommend: No – only to someone I was to piss off.SITREP: place was clean & wholesome; staff curtious & nice (I liked my waitress & felt guilty about sending the food back); food was bad (see below) & bang for the buck – not worth it.I ordered the grouper – just under $19…had it sent back. There was a fishy taste that tells me the fish was off or sitting in cold water for a long while after being thawed out (really? and you’re billing yourself as a ‘reef & grill’ place?). I had it sent back & settled on the flounder as a replacement – silly me, after figuring out the fish was bad the first time, chances are it’s not going to improve any the next…I was proved right: flounder was hot & tasteless (which means it was frozen for a while). yeah – Golden Coral would’ve been better for the money that was spent.There was a bar in there – the staff was friendly, I think I could spend time in there drinking…but, that’s about it.
Been twice, nice place bad cook
Disgusting The service was …. DisgustingThe service was good place was very well kept and clean. Now about the food. My mothers chicken was dry as old leather and her veggie had so much oregano it was not edible. My liver tasted disgusting how ever my fries were yummy. Over all very disappointing. Let’s hope they get a new chef before its too late.
