Stopped in today to sample the food! I don’t have any point of reference to use but what I found was tasty items that remind me somewhat of good southern food. Southern food has its roots from soul food, it’s undeniable. You may prefer one over the other but it’s a reasonable comparison as there is a strong influence. I suggest you stop in and give it a try and decide for yourself. The man running the show was very nice and a pleasure to meet. Up on the wall you will find a photo of former president Bill Clinton. I preferred the spicy rice over the rice and beans. I also would choose the oxtail over the chicken. While you are there walk around and visit the shops and produce stands. The Municipal Market isn’t the biggest venue but it is a nice alternative.

Skip the burger joint at Sweet Auburn and dig into some of the best Jamaican soul you can get in Atlanta. I get Oxtails, Beans and Rice, Plantains, and an Orange Fanta. Awesome.
