Terrible food. I just had a tilapia sandwich at Alibaba downtown location. The fish was cold and it was tasted like it was grilled days before. They didn’t even care about either warming up the fish or the pita bread. I was back there after so long and as I remember the food used to be better. I am very disappointed. Just throw it to my trash can. I couldn’t even finish it.
Rediculous!!!!!. Did I miss the Memo about the National Falafel Shortage… or the Other where it is a good Business practice to ARGUE and harangue your customers!!! Apparently the Folks at Ali Babas want to give you the Feeling of home, where the talk to you like a Peasant begging for a meal, yet charge you like a King! what is Worst, after 5+ years of frequenting this location, the Salad plate is now 1/2 the size, mind you at the same price… and the once included sides are now extra…. My lunch today came to a whopping $30 without notice, for 2 salads… the SAME 2 salads I have been buying since 2006. The thievery doesnt stop there, the Parsley salad now is 60% lettuce. way to Ruin a good Business guys… Good old Non-American Greed!!!!
Great Falafel Wrap. I found myself on Broad St. during lunch time the other day and decided to give Ali Baba a try. I’m glad I did. The guy making the food was very helpful and friendly.I went with the Falafel Wrap with a side of the bean salad. The wrap was one of the biggest I’ve ever gotten from a Mediterranean place, as were the falafels that filled it. The falafels were extremely tasty. It was loaded with other fillings too, which made for a messy wrap, but it was absolutely delicious and packed full of flavor. The bean salad was also very good; it came with chickpeas, corn, and what looked like cannellini and fava beans. At only $7.50+tax, this was an excellent deal for a lunch combo that also included a drink. This place is great for grabbing a quick bite to eat if you’re in the area. I look forward to trying some of the gyros, as well as the plain and black bean hummus.
Super gyro. Best gyro I have eaten in ATL so far. Quick, quality, and close by….all I need.
Falafel heaven. The best place for quick, delicious Falafel and dolmades. Both locations are fantastic but this one is closest to where I live. My only problem is the hummus, which tends to be slightly dry. However, if you get the falafel wrap combo with dolmades as your side (I’ve heard the pasta salad is good too) its less than $7 and can be both lunch and dinner plus a soft drink and you forget all your hummus troubles with each creamy, slightly spicy bite.
