I recently dined at American Roadhouse for brunch and it was a great experience. The pancakes have to be my favorite item along with the mimosas. Eggs were cooked right, grits were not lumpy and hard. The service was great as well. I think I will be back very soon.
Solid Breakfast. Probably won’t find anything magical or adventurous, but my Sierra Omelet was solid with a nice little jalapeno kick. The major thing they have going for them is that they open a couple hours earlier on the weekends than most other places in this part of town (seriously, finding breakfast on Sunday at 7am around here is worth mentioning). Would probably skip the fruit next time… always a risk, but in this case one that didn’t pay off.
Great value. Waited for thirty minutes on a sunday for brunch. It was worth it, very large portions at good prices. I got a greek omlet, side of fruit, everything bagel and another side for 10 bucks. I spend almost that at Waffle House but the quality of food is much better here.
Great Brunch!. If you’re eating at any of the other breakfast franchises (IHOP,Denny’s,Cracker Barrel etc) for brunch…. then stop! This place to heads and shoulders above them in taste and selection however they are toe to toe on price. My favorite is the crab and shrimp omelette w/buck wheat pancakes. (oh and a mimosa, try getting one of those at a franchise) They always give a healthy portion so sharing an entree helps save even more!
A perennial favorite that never disappoints.. Took my snow-bird parents here Sunday on their way back to Michigan cuz I knew they’d love and get it (I took them to Ecco for dinner the night before, which was wonderful, but they were a little shell-shocked with food they’d never heard of – we’re from rural Michigan, remember). Anyway, the place was crowded with young parents and their impossibley cute babies. Service was good, food was even better – blueberry pancakes and home fries that tasted just like home. If you need to fill your stomach with good old fashioned food – this is your place.
