Beautiful outside seating area. Ordered a burger and pan seared trout. My burger was ok. I ordered it without bacon and it came with. The trout was awful: fish just didn’t taste fresh at all and the veggies that came as a side were basically raw (not aldente, raw). Had bigger expectations. Hope they better their kitchen.
I’ve been here for 15 years, and I used to come here for great food, but now it is such a disappointment. They have now changed the entire menu and taken off all the good items. I asked for something off the old menu, and our waitress told me it’s no longer available and to take it up with the owner. I asked for the owner and she said he’s not here. I’ve been treated very rudely. This little neighborhood gem has lost it’s touch. You can find a much better dining elsewhere.
Not worth the money.
Horrible service, horrible food. $24 for a horrible cooked(burnt) lamb chop/ salty mashed potatoes dish, and a waitress that appeared just to pick up the check. They do not care about anything other than getting your money. I will not be eating there again, I recommend you stay away from this place.
The food isn’t terrible but also not impressive. Simply mastering basic menu items will satisfy patrons but they seem to wanna pretend they are in Paris and they don’t pull it off. The service sucks big time but most people only go there to hang & people watch.
Haitham Mogherbi’s spot. Great spot, good vibe, relaxing, good food, followed by a movie with friends at the midtown arts cinema, which opens up to this patio. It’s great for a relaxing Saturday night.
Too efficient but delicious. Our first visit to Apres Diem was a positive one overall but a bit imbalanced. A European bistro conjures visions of a leisurely and decadent meal watching people pass by on the sidewalk. Apres Diem embodied all of these elements with the notable exception of leisure. We arrived around seven on a Friday evening to a surprisingly open patio, where we were welcomed to seat ourselves, and to immediate service. We ordered drinks and the toasted goat cheese appetizer, of which the latter came first with warm French bread. At which point we ordered our entrees along with side salads. Before we had finished the appetizer, the salad arrived (without dressing). Once the side of light, refreshing vinaigrette came so did the salmon farfalle and coq a vin. Both dishes were divine, but everything had come out within half an hour. I had not even finished my spot-on dirty vodka martini by the time the main courses arrived. We had eaten the appetizer, bread, and salad so quickly that I was unable to put a dent in my pasta; however, my always voracious boyfriend ordered the chocolate mousse cake, which I could not resist despite the rapid food overload just experienced. We will most certainly return to Apres Diem, but maybe next time AFTER our movie at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema when the restaurant is more crowded and perhaps the kitchen is a bit slower.
