AMAZING PLACE. OMG!! What fabulous food. This place has turned around from what it was a year ago. You want great Italian Food when you go to Atlanta this is a must. The manager Alice has made this place a palace. I had the lasagna and it was the best I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of lasagna through the years. We decided to give this place another chance and are we ever glad we did! Not only is to food fabulous the entertainment was exceptional. We had such a good time on the Friday night we went, we decided to go back on Sunday. It was a highlight of my trip to Atlanta!!! Thanks again to the wonderful piano players both Friday and Sunday. We enjoyed every minute. Make this a must place on your Trip to Atlanta!!

Best meal I had my entire time in Atlanta. This was a terrific place off the beaten path with good service and outstanding food.

Expected a little more from a Peasant Restaurant.. Don’t get me wrong, it was not a disaster, but I thought they missed so many opportunities. Our group of 4 started off with shared apps: Arancini (Italian fried rice/cheese balls) and the house-made foccacia with tomato sauce and goat cheese (for dipping). The arancini were tasty with nice soft/melty cheese centers. The foccacia was pretty basic and tasted like unseasoned white bread that was only marginally improved by dipping.Salads were also uneventful, with the mains being varied: A lamb Marsala, a pork shank, their specialty lasagna and the ciopinno. They all had such great descriptions and all looked like home-runs on the menu. In reality, at least 3 of the 4 seemed to fall short one way or another. I had the ciopinno and was totally underwhelmed by the meager amount of seafood in what should be a hearty seafood stew. It made up a little ground with a hearty bread for sopping up the (marginally too salty) broth, but was overall a disappointment. For desert the chocolate torte was good, but again nothing out of the ordinary.Over many years, I’ve always thought of the peasant restaurants as dependable and this was a let down. I was particularly amazed with how untrained and oblivious all the service folks seemed and how absolutely freezing this place was on a cool evening in December. Am I sorry I went? No, not really, it was worth a try. I’m just not sure I’d risk it again any time soon.

Campagnolo. What a vast improvement from the Red Tomato! The Owners have done a first class job on the conversion and turned this previously sleazy space into a clean, comfortable and contemporary bar restaurant. Outdoor terrace works well. The menu is a little different to the run of the mill stuff with lots of snack meals which I like. I ate the mushroom and zucchini pannini with roasted brussel sprouts. Delicious! Not a destination for beer drinkers as the draught ale selection was very limited.

Wow, this restaurant really surprised me. Hidden at the corner of 10th and Piedmont is a gold mine. The servers are very fun, especially ours. Adam, and his co-server Jillian, were a delight. He sat down and explained everything on the menu that I would enjoy based on my conditions. His recomendations were flawless. The beet salad was amazing. And, his recomendation of the Pumpkin Rissoto was spot-on. Jillian hand-crafted I and my friend’s drinks which hit the table right at perfect. She even recomended an ecquisite wine to compliment the rissoto. This place gets an A++! Ask for Adam or Jillian, I promise you won’t be disappointed. I WILL be back with friends.

Khazarian. We have eaten there twice now. The restaurant is lovely but the food leaves an awful lot to be desired. Maybe the meat dishes are better than the fish – but we don’t really eat meat. Or perhaps we should stick to pasta. On the first occasion the caprese was tasteless and the cioppino so spicy it was virtually inedible. On the second occasion the crostini was just soggy bread which couldn’t be picked up to eat, the trout was tepid by the time it reached the table, and the cod had a very strong and unpleasant flavor. It’s a shame, because i really would like them to be successful. If they are it won’t be on the back of my patronage.
