This Place is On Fire. There are only simple words to describe this place…awesome…got to go…tell your friends…trendy…The food and staff are fantastic. They make eating and drinking fun.As far as price, it’s affordable. Keep up the good work!!!!
Don’t listen to the bad reviews this place rocks!! We almost didn’t go because of the reviews … Glad we did- everything was awsome ! Not expensive at all… Top grade fish !!
Incredible!!. Probably the best experience I’ve had at a sushi bar in Atlanta. This place offers a perfect alternative to Miso Izakaya down the street, where service is relatively slow and impersonal despite the creative menu. Craft Izakaya delivered on every level…atmosphere is sleek, sophisticated and sexy….service is super friendly and quick, much like sister restaurant Sushi Huku. But it is really about the food and its obvious quality. Can’t say I’ve ever tasted fresher sashimi, or enjoyed the flavors of sweet shrimp, uni and salmon roe in one appetizer. The baked California Roll is what I find myself craving as I reflect on this flawless experience…indeed a very common item that Jey-san takes to an entirely new level. I’m going back as soon as possible, as we barely put a dent in the extensive and surprisingly affordable menu. For a Japanese feast you won’t forget, try this place out. Along with Huku, Nakato and Shoya Izakaya, this is the real deal.
Overpriced, loud, and poor quality food.. I was really disappointed in Craft Izakaya. I went with my girlfriend and her parents for a late night dinner tonight. The inside is modern and open, too open I think. It is extremely loud, the server had a hard time communicating with us because of how loud it is in there. It’s just the acoustics of the tall open building, not the music, just the people. I didn’t take pictures because I was with my girlfriends parents and didn’t want to be rude using my phone and all, but the dishes were pretty. However, this place is way, way overpriced! I understand they want a modern asian fusion type of thing, but it is extremely overpriced. The menu is disorganized, huge, and the pictures are overwhelming. The rolls are very americanized, basically everything has avocado in it. On to the dishes… first we ordered the duck yakitori. Only one little skewer for 5 bucks, eek. It was tasty, but nothing great. Then the Mini Beef Potato Croquette. They were piping hot, tasty but nothing great as well. Then the Spicy Tuna roll with Avocado deep fried with panko came out. It was pretty good, but the spiciness came directly from sriracha, way too much sririacha in the sauce. The roll was a bit soggy and just didn’t have the right taste in it. For 13 bucks, you expect a decent size roll, however I believe there were 6 pieces. We also ordered the crispy spicy tuna and it was just okay. My girlfriend and I mainly ate these dishes, as we were late meeting her parents and her parents had some stuff there before we arrived. They ordered some sashimi and rolls and they said it was not great. My girlfriends dad is a sushi chef and he knows his food, and he gave it a big thumbs down. Between the quality and the price, this place is just not worth it. I really don’t think it will survive. Even Hmart cafeteria has better sushi and food than this place. Yikes. All in all, it is just way too overpriced, loud, and the quality of the food is subpar.
