The first time I heard of this spot was on a national television show. The food is amazing. Yes, it’s a dive but everyone goes here Black, White, Asian, Indian…try the ribs, tips, or chicken along w/the baked beans and cole slaw you won’t be disappointed. If they’d invest a little bit of their profits into the interior/a remodel I’d give them a perfect 5. Bon Appetit!!!!

Nice BBQ Joynt !. I will be back to try more of this really good barbecue. It’s a really tasty version of sauce. A little sweet, tangy and spicy. When you pull up you get that good smokey fragrance that draws a crowd. The staff is on point and offered free samples of the ribs.
Best BBQ Ever.. I’m from the south, so I know good BBQ. This is quite possibly the BEST BBQ I have ever had. I got the pulled pork with macaroni & cheese and collard greens. Everything was fantastic, the portions were huge, our server was great, and it wasn’t too over priced either. If you’re in Atlanta, you have to stop by! It’s a little rough around the edges on the outside, but it’s so worth the lack of air conditioning.
Mighty Fine. Daddy Dz BBQ Joynt is a bit um…rugged…on the outside. But it is fun and funky and friendly on the inside.I only had a to go meal, so I cant comment too much on the service, but the counter lady was very nice.The ribs and the pulled pork were both very good. It is especially nice to have the crunchy outside bits of the pork included and the tips of the ribs to be a little chewy. The fried okra and collard greens were good, but not the great. I got some of the sweet and some of the spicy barbecue sauces but there was little difference between them.I would definitely return and eat in and try more of the menu.
I love this place…… Everytime I’m here on business I have to come here. The ribs are great and the sauce is a wonderful vinegar/hot that I expect from Georgia bbq. I’ve tried the trendy and the new places, but none compare to the smoke filled sticky yellow walled gift from heaven that is Daddy Z’s.Hands down my favorite place in the Atlanta area.
