More like a 3.8 not quite a 4. Daddy Z’s is that BBQ that gives you the feeling that you are in the backyard eating on some good old throwdown made by the best griller in the family. Now you may pass up Daddy Z’s often believing that it’s a junk building…and that thought doesn’t change after you walk in. But that’s the ambience and it’s does not effect the food I’m any way. Very Good!
Today was my last attempt to have a good experience with Daddy D’z. I’ve dined in, done take away, and ordered delivery several times. Their meat is dry and way too salty. I’ve kept trying different things because a friend swears they’re the best BBQ in Atlanta. Well if they’re the best then I’d hate to taste the worst. Sandwiches, pulled pork, ribs… None are worth the money.Today I did delivery and ordered a half slab of ribs. First of all, if what I got was half an entire slab then I’m the Easter Bunny. Second, it was once again over cooked and chewy. And third, it was so salty both with and without sauce. It tasted like it had been brined for two days and then salted heavily on the grill.What cracks me up is they say ribs are their specialty. Anyway, save your money. Go elsewhere. There’s MUCH better barbeque to be had.
