Good food, small bar. I like Diesel’s food, but would I go out – go out there? Prob not. It’s so small it’s hard to really do anything but get food there. And when it gets crowded? Forget it.
I’m not a fan. I’m pretty laid back, but I just didn’t feel the place is that welcoming. I wasn’t impressed eight e food either. It’s trying to put an eclectic spin on a burger joint, but it doesn’t pull it off. I found the food excessively greasy (even for a greasy burger joint) and over priced.
Not for Auburn Fans. Diesel makes you think they are for Auburn fans by the Auburn flags flying on game day, but the fact that the bar manager allowed UGA fans to persuade him to change the sound away from the Auburn game to the UGA game at halftime makes them decidely NOT for Auburn fans. Will not be going back.
Don’t take the kids. We went on a Wednesday night/poker night and the power went out. The food was good but remember it is a neighborhood bar with all that entails and is NOT very family friendly. For a burger place, I thought it was a bit pricey; $10 burgers.
The meatloaf was amazing, as was the Rosemary popcorn. The service was good too however the waters tasted like margarita mix and inside seating was very smokey.
BINGO. I really liked Bloody Bingo on Monday night. The bingo caller was SO funny, The bartender is smokin HOT and its a really fun time. The prizes are fun and silly. Bingo and Horror movies….very fun. The Burgers are yummy!
Are you sure this is VAHI?. Best bar in the HIghlands. No pretentious hipsters, no obnoxious jocks just a bunch of partiers that like to have fun. Shrimp Po’ Boy is the straight up JAM! I also recommend coming on Thursdays The trivia up there is a lt of fun and the guy that calls it is hysterical.
