Terrible Service/Policies. The service is absolutely horrendous. Prices are outrageous. The restaurant’s policy are ridiculous. For example, if you and a friend want to buy an entree and share, they don’t allow that. Furthermore, they will not allow your guest to stay and eat with you unless they make some minimum purchase. Their prices increase without notice. On top of all of this, the employees are extremely rude. Consistently. This last time was the last time that I will ever eat at this restaurant.
DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE HIGH RATING!!!. The worst customer service. Not the authentic food that you are hoping to get. Extremely rude cashier and servers. You paid for your food and you didn’t even get a place to sit down. You have to be quick to fight for a table or you will be standing around a crowded place hoping you will finally get a table when your food is delivered. Never come back here again.
The best Pho hands down. Came upon this place several years ago when I started working downtown. Fell in love with their Pho. Tried other places and they just dont measure up. Broth is always fresh and smooth, meat plentiful and tasty, noodles. Their rice and noodles dishes are tasty as well but the Pho keeps drawing me back.
No recognition of customer value. I’m a regular customer, or rather, a former customer now of Dua. I have a friend with whom I work, and another who works downtown who I frequently go to lunch with and Dua has been our preferred spot. I have seen many cashiers come and go, but all have learned our faces and come to recognize us as regulars. On my last trip, my friend who often accompanies me and usually orders one of their dishes was not eating this particular day, yet was going with me to keep me company. We were informed a 5 dollar minimum would be required for my companion to sit with me, even though if I ate by myself I would take up the same amount of space. That was my last and final trip to this place. Has the idea of customer loyalty ever crossed their minds – the human element of doing business? It seems that when we walk through the door instead of seeing a person, someone they’ve established a relationship with, they see a 5 dollar bill (at minimum). This is quite unfortunate. I’ll no longer recommend Dua as I so often have in the past. Go here if you like, but know in advance they have no recognition of your actual value as a customer.
Good Vietnamese Downtown. This is becoming one of my regular spots when I’m downtown. I like that they have outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. The seating in the basement is also a plus because the outside and upstairs seating can fill up fast during the lunch rush. The food is done well, though it is slightly different from what I’m used to on BuHi (just cooked and presented a little differently). Everything I’ve had so far (Bn and Cm dishes) has been delicious. It comes to your table really fast, too, which is a nice bonus. Everything is priced very reasonably, especially for a place that is located downtown. If you like Vietnamese food and find yourself downtown, then Dua is the place to go.
Eat here NOW. This place…. Where do I start? I ate here once, and took a look at the not-so-diverse (who cares?) menu. I wanted to try a rice plate pretty badly (love rice), but decided that, for the experience, and since I was only passing through Atl, I simply HAD to try the Pho (signature Vietnamese dish). I’ve said this in other reviews, but I like Asian food more than any other single category of food, and I seek out the best in every town I go to. I found Dua online and decided to try it. The Pho, which is a Vietnamese noodle soup with meat, bean sprouts, and a few other small vegetables and very subtle (delicious) flavors, was absolutely amazing. I got a large bowl for a very good price and ate (then drank) all of the contents, wondering if whoever washed dishes would have much work on his hands at all. Not only is this meal filling and delicious, but it is SATISFYING, just as real Asian food should be. I was a stranger to Vietnamese food under any circumstance, but this was truly a wonderful first encounter. WHEN I go back, I want to try the spicy Pho.Overall: Excellent food. Great service (order at desk and they bring it to you very quickly). Difficult seating (good sign, usually). Great atmosphere (loud and friendly). Excellent price (6/7-10/12 dollars). Try it as soon as you can. I loved it.
C5, Lemon Grass and Tofu. I eat here twice a week, always great service and food is always fresh.
