Well Im on the fence with this restaurant, first thing the waitress told us that the soda machine was out. Omg! I started with an order of fried green tomatoes, it was good. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the shrimp po boy. The shrimp was super crispy however they added fried pickles and the combination was less than desirable. I like pickles but these were salty and they were fried. I wasnt impress and neither was my husband.

The holy grail of breakfast/brunch! As a breakfast/brunch aficionado, I’m always on the hunt for an awesome experience. This place has delicious homemade fruit jams & delicious bread. And their huge, fluffy omelettes can’t be missed – filled with fresh ingredients of your choice – so yummy! Oh & the grits are some of the best I’ve ever had 🙂 The parking can be cumbersome & the interior space can be slightly awkward, but I’ll gladly overlook to enjoy the deliciousness that awaits here.

Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. When I’m in town I always swing by for breakfast. I always try something different and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried.

The food is very good. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The sweet potato waffle was crispy on the edges and yummy. The peach compote was a great compliment. The chicken was cooked well but very lightly seasoned. I also enjoyed the corn grits with corn kernels mixed in. There are many other interesting items on the menu that I’ll definitely be back to try. The atmosphere is upbeat, fun, and family friendly. Additionally, the service was good.

I was a little nervous about trying yet another recommendation from Guy (DDD show). It gets hit more miss with some of his picks. Brian was our server tonight. Poor thing said he had not had a night off in 10 days which did not bother us because he was johnny on the spot for us.The decor of the place is great. A little of this and a little of that everywhere. We order the fried green tomatoes which were HOT and fresh and seasoned to perfection. They put crumbled blue cheese on the top for just the right flavor. LOVED IT.I ordered the Blacken Fish (PS: I never order fish when I go out, but for some reason I did tonight). What a great selection. First, my side was this tomatoe soup. The flavors were DEEP in the bowl. Layer after layer. Very smooth yet chunky at the same time. Not sure what was at the bottom of the bowl, but that is were the extra flavor lived. My mouth was doing the happy dance. So moving onto the grilled Mac and Cheeeeeese please…more more and more of this stuff. the crunch of the cheese from the grill sent me over the top. Great taste and comforting. The meal was soooooo enjoyable, I can not wait to go back again. Loved it.Service got a little lost at the end, because Brian and the other waiter were working along. Work on the service. Great food + poor service = no business.

Fine Food, Slow Service. Folk Arts Folk Southern Fried was recently hailed by Creative Loafing as one of the 100 best dishes in Atlanta. So we had to try it.Breakfast on Sunday is busy. But if the weather is good on a fine spring day, then a wait is OK. Once inside, its easy to see why there is a wait. It isnt too much business as much as slow service.Fortunately, the food is very good. The Folk Southern Fried is a fried chicken breast on top of a huge, light and flaky biscuit. All this is then covered with a sausage gravy. It was quite delicious, and Im not a gravy and biscuit kind of person. The cinnamon pecan French toast was also very good as were the sweet potato beignets. Juice really did taste fresh-squeezed.The only problem was the service. Maybe it was just our waitress since others seated well after us received their meals well before us. Fortunately, the food was worth waiting for.
