I’ve visited this restaurant twice now and I have not been disappointed. On this trip, we ate around 7:30 on a Friday night. We were sat immediately because we had made a reservation. The waiter came to our table rather quickly. The menu has many options, and is very clean and streamline. We ordered two alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, and one entree. We started off with two Martinis, which were tasty and freshly prepared. We also ordered the Arancini (Sicilian risotto and sausage croquettes), Calamari, and Cape Sante (grilled diver scallops with lemon and cucumber and onion salad). All three appetizers were amazing and fresh. The Aracini was freshly fried, the Cape Sante scallops were perfectly grilled, and paired well with the cucumber and red onion salad. The Calamari was fresh and breaded well. We also ordered a Toscana salad, which was tasty as well. The prices of the food are equivalent to the food quality. A little pricey, but definitely worth every penny. Will definitely return.
Nice staff. But nothing special. We tried two different pizza, Estivat and Sorrentina. They were both disappointing. Very light on the mozzerella, the sauce was bland, the dough dry. Not worth the money we spent.
All Good, Nothing GreatWeve been to Sotto Sotto next door and wanted to try their less-expensive little brother. Both are owned by Riccardo Ullio and both are good.We tried some of the house cocktails and some wines by the glass which were all nice, but expensive compared to the rest of the menu. For appetizers we tried the Funghi Fritti and the Calamari Fritti. Both were good but nothing special. We moved on to the Bietole e Mele and the Caesar salads. Both were nice. Again, nothing special. For entrees our group shared three pizzas and a beef skewer. The beef was surprisingly tough and the pizzas were good to very good. We had some very tasty gelatos for dessert. Our server was helpful and efficient.Fritti was good, but nothing we had would cause me to want to return any time soon. I would prefer to spend a little more and go to Sotto Sotto again.
