I had a very enjoyable time at Front Page News-Crescent. We were there for a birthday lunch celebration. The staff was friendly and helpful and efficient. The only reason I did not give 5 out of 5 was because they were sold out of one of my favorite dishes. I ordered one of specials instead and it was very good. I will definitely be back in the near future. Great food for a great price.

Sunday is a big day for Front Page News by the looks of our visit. While many of the other patrons chose to enjoy the cool fall weather, we decided to sit inside and watch the Falcons lose another game on the vast array of HD TVs scattered throughout the dining room.It took me a while to understand where the match is with the Front Page News and the New Orleans motif even with the explanation from the website, but somehow it all seems to work. Once I got it I smiled when I considered how well the location on Crescent Avenue played into it since New Orleans is sometimes referred to as The Crescent City. But what I really like, is that they serve brunch until 4pm giving us outlanders time to hitch our wagons and make it into Midtown Atlanta. The menu looked awesome in more ways than one! Its very eye-catching and well laid out graphically. Aside from its visual draw, the menu items look down right YUMMY! I just wanted to try a little bit of everything, but life is about choices, right?I went with the Crab Cakes Benedict while the girls decided on omelets. Let me assure you Front Page News ROCKS brunch! My family is from Maryland so when they put crab cakes on the menu, I have pretty low expectations. The crab cakes were some of the best Ive ever seen in the Deep South, especially considering its not like Atlanta is a port city renowned for seafood. Seared perfectly, with hollandaise sauce covering the scrambled eggs sitting on English Muffins it was a tasty treat! Melanie and Laurie loved their omelets but the show stealer on this visit was the cheesy grits! These have got to be some of the best grits in the city and gives the Creamy Dreamy Grits from Flying Biscuit Caf a run for their money. We ate one meal on Sunday and it was brunch at Front Page News. Brunch there and YOU ARE DONE for the day! It was really pretty awesome and I could tell that people really had a blast on the patio also. When in Midtown, a visit to Front Page News is on our MUST VISIT list! Guten appetit! atlanta-food-critic.com
