Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio and very glad I did (first visit). Staff was friendly, not crowded at all (it was mid-afternoon) and Pub Burger was outstanding. I’ll definitely make a point to come back!
Yes!. I left my boring job today for lunch and wanted something different so I hit morningside. I pulled in because the parking lot was not packed and it looked like my type of dark Irish bar. Boy am I glad I did! Sounds to me like other people just had a bad experience because mine was great! It was dark, not busy, so that meant fast service. I had a taste for sour kraut so I went with the reuben. I am not kidding, best reuben I have EVER had! This thing was FULL of meat and it had great taste. I have had many reubens including Goldbergs deli and that place can suck it compared to this thing. I hate that people are having bad experiences here because I will be returning for this sandwhich.
The Bartender Rude and Service Horrible. A Friend raved on their Burgers and suggested we go on Tues $2 Burger day and after work drinks. I have usually enjoyed the restaurants in that area and looked forward to our outing. The Bartender was so rude and service like we were a bother. Ruined the whole vibe. If they are going to treat customers like crap because of the $2 Burger Special- then Cancel It and get back to Good Customer Service and Better Pours on the Drinks!
Can’t say I would ever go back. I went for the first time, and left unhappy. I assume they deal with terribly intoxicated individuals on a regular basis, but this shouldn’t be reflected on the rest of the guests. I ordered a cocktail, and received it with what I consider to be no alcohol. I expressed my concerns, all to get charged for an extra drink when they fixed it and made it the way it should’ve been in the first place. The customer service could not have been worse. The bartender was condescending and the server did absolutely nothing to remediate the situation. This is not an exaggeration. I just expect to get what I pay for.
Bad and Unfriendly Staff. I was there this past Sunday night brought friends from out of town and was greeted by a skinny red headed boy who called himself the bouncer of this neighborhood bar. His attitude was terrible as if we were bothering him just being there. We left after 1 drink because the service was slow and rude. too many drunk kids that could hardly stand up. The place stunk just like the servers.
Went for lunch and there was not a single thing of like 4 items that I had that wasn’t awful. The fries are limp, the fish tacos are unflavored. Overall, it’s a great atmosphere and great bar but don’t go for the food.
Uninspiring Pub Food. Tasteless chicken salad, bland tomato soup (no crackers available — was told they would no longer be offered….really?). Menu is quite prosaic. These folks need to go back to the drawing board. No reason for food to be this bad even if you are mainly a purveyor of spirits…..
