Menu Gems:-Sweet Potato Pancake-Curry Chicken Salad-Pimento Cheese Sandwich (I always buy a few scoops of pimento cheese to go as it is the best I have ever had ever).-Sweet Potato Biscuit-Fried Chicken Benedict-Cilantro Corn Pancakes-Any of the muffinsI worked for a location for some time and stil love and crave the food. The line is usually really long but it is worth the wait. Going at off hours is a great way to try the awesome food without as bad of a line.
Great spot brimming with vitality and good manners!!!. Worth the wait on an after Thanksgiving Sunday noon. Nibble at the bakery goodies and various coffee flavorings while in line. The staff is cheerful even in the hectic pace of the place. The crowd is well mixed and in good manners. Prices are right. What’s not to like!!!

Smallest stack of pancakes ever!. There is nothing I like better for breakfast than pancakes. I heard about Highland’s sweet potato pancakes a while ago, but was never in the area until recently. Boy was I disappointed. I ordered a full stack and was presented with two (yes only two) very average to small size pancakes on a large plate. It was bad enough that a full stack was only two smallish pancakes but to present it on a large oval plate just added insult to injury. I was going to ask my waitress if this was a half stack, but I never saw her again until another server noticed I was waiting for my bill. By that time I had consumed the two lonely ‘cakes so there wasnt anything left to show her. You can bet I was not happy to see that I was charged $8.99 when the bill finally did arrive.I won’t be back.
This was a amazing experience. Good was great so great your gonna wait 30 mins to an hour to be seated. Good food
Service here seems to be interrupting their conversations. The sauce on my Benedict was cold and tasteless, eggs were under done rolls were doughy. The tea was hot but they were confused about what they had and didn’t really listen to what I ordered. Not going back didn’t live up to the hype.
