Now THAT is a refreshing sandwich. I’ve been meaning to make it here for a while. Stopped in on a rainy day and grabbed a sandwich (smoked salmon, fontina, and tomato with sweet onion marmalade on olive foccacia), a bowl of sunchoke and leek soup (this was the lunch special so also got a coconut pecan cookie.)Boy was that sandwich good. First and foremost appreciate that this wasn’t served on a huge thick piece of bread. Instead a nice soft flavorful foccacia and a great mix of smokey/salty/sweet/creamy flavors and textures that resulted in a very enjoyable sandwich. Soup was also piping hot and seasoned very mildly for a perfect thing to accompany a sandwich with so many flavors. Cookie was fine.. maybe a little too subtle, but not really a big deal.This place is definitely worth the stop, particularly if it’s warm enough to sit in the ample outside area (some covered, some not) and enjoy the day.
