They are inconsistent with what they give you, and I found a fully grown German cockroach in my coconut soup. As you can see in the photo I posted, they gave me the soup in a weird container previously used for something else, and it was only half full. It also cost more than the soup next door at Surin and had a giant half lemon, half a lime, and a bunch of lemon seeds and bay leaves that I had to pick around before I found the roach and decided the soup was worth waaaay too much effort. (That was also after painfully chewing a lemon seed which in itself pretty much killed my appetite)

Friendly advise. This is by far the best Thai food I’ve experienced & the ambiance is wonderful too. With that being said, R&B music from a radio ruins the feel and a desktop/really bright light from the bar that isn’t even active is an eye sore. This place is 75% close to feeling like you’re actually in Thailand. The owners are so welcoming & polite which makes the experience wonderful. I wish they’d hire a person that could bring this place to top notch (or at least take this advice as a start)

The best Thai place in Atlanta. The only Thai place you need to visit outside of Thailand. we live Panita and her kitchen, the best food outside of Thailand. I had my birthday party here, that is how much I love this place. We have been to Thailand a few times and this is as close as it gets to authentic food.

The best in Atlanta …. I’ve been a loyal customer for 14 years… Go enjoy an evening with Panita and Cindy. If you are in a hurry go to Surin. It is an experience you will never forget. In beautiful Virginia Highlands.

Love, love, LOVE Panita Thai Kitchen. If you’re in a hurry, don’t choose this restuarant. However, if you want the best Thai food in Atlanta, Panita is for you! It’s a quaint, small space decorated with cute macrame chairs, at small tables; the windows are hand-crafted artistic wrought iron and the owner/chef/busboy/waiter is a wonderful, charming person who will explain the entrees in detail and prepare you a special dish not on the menu if that is your desire. I found this hidden jewel before it even opened, having dined at Surin, which is a larger unimpressive Thai restuarant right in front of Panita. The construction crew was working on the transformation and told me that a new Thai restuarant would be there soon that I would be sure to enjoy. He was not wrong and it has since become my favorite Thai spot in Atlanta. I take all my out-of-town guests there and friends who share my passion for delicious Thai cuisine and they too love, love, LOVE it!!

Went here looking for lunch. It was the only restaurant that didn’t use MSG (or at least say they don’t)We were surprised how pretty it looked inside, since the outside seems a little shabby. We sat on the porch near a window (which have no glass just bug screen). It was chilly and we asked the girl sitting nearby with a small heater if we could also have a heater.Instead she suggested we move into a small walled-in room, where it would be warmer. We carried our glasses and silver ware over and upon sitting the space I said I’d rather stay where we had been. It was cramped, even chillier and uninviting. The owner was very displeased with this and made it very clear we have to make up our mind. Well arguing just made it worse and the charming find just turned into really uncomfortable scenario. My husband still wanted to eat, so he ordered the clear soup. I had lost my appetite, the owner kept saying odd remarks when it wasn’t even our idea to go to the coffin-like room. We just wanted a space heater as the other girl had at her table. He ordered a simple clear soup, and when I said I wanted different soup, he made the pork sound so unappetizing that I wavered. I ended up getting the same soup as my husband. When I asked about the size it sent the owner on a weird tangent that made no sense.I was ready to leave right then and there. We asked the owner if he was upset with us since he kept muttering little jabs oozing with attitude, yet he assured us that no, he was not.The other dish we had ordered was the lamb and my husband asked for medium spicyness. When the soup came it was so spicy, it burned my lip, my tongue. I found three red Thai peppers including their seeds in my little bowl It almost seemed that he was getting back at me?I could barely eat it, but once my husband finished we paid and left.We asked the girl if this sort if thing happens a lot and she kind of said yes, it was a language thing though.Well I don’t believe that for one second, having traveled to Thailand myself. The fact that he never came back out of the kitchen was proof that he is just a very very angry man.I won’t want to go back, since I prefer a pleasant atmosphere when eating, but if you like the idea of the Sushi- Nazi (Seinfeld) you could give this place a try.
