Finally tried this place at lunch today – we ordered plantains, vegetarian and chicken entrees and the Wednesday special (pork dish). The service was super fast, all our dishes were ready in about 5 minutes, the staff was friendly and courteous and the food was delicious! Will be frequenting this gem of a place more often!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Cuban coffee is to die for and so is their signature dessert Tres Leches (3 layers of milk – condensed, evaporated and cream). The Jerk Chicken wrap has very generous portions of chicken. Staff is polite and prompt.

I so love Papi’s – my favorite Cuban restaurant. My favorite dish is the vaca frita. Second favorite, surprisingly is the jerked chicken – not that this is real jerk, I just really like the preparation – big juicy pieces of chicken with a jerk toss – get the plate, it’s the best and a super value. I like the sandwiches also – the classic Cuban made with roasted pork and ham – delicious! independentrestaurantreview.com

The server was rude. We waited a long time for our food and reminded our server several times that we were still waiting. He could have cared less and got our order wrong. The empanadas were saturated in greas and inedible.

Very good food. I LOVE their hot veggie and melted cheese sandwich on Cuban bread.

First time Cuban diners. Since we were visiting Atlanta for the weekend we decided to try something new and different. We have had Caribbean before but this was a bit different. Great tasting food, generous portions, decent price. I had pork with plantains and black beans and rice, a fairly simple meal bit with great taste. I also asked for something spicy and they brought a good pepper salsa and were surprised that I ate it all. We visited just before Halloween and enjoyed the startled look when our cook brought food to the table in a hockey mask and wielding a machete. There was live music on a Saturday night, which was quiet enough that we could have a conversation without shouting. We will probably go back next trip because there were too many interesting things to try in one trip.
