Absolutely the worst service I have ever had the distinct misfortune of receiving, and Ive been going to restaurants frequently for over forty years. If the staff of a restaurant could be less interested in providing a pleasurable, or even a bearable experience for their guests, I can scarcely conceive of such a disaster. I cant review the food. We were so disgusted by the customer experience, we left. Do not… ever… subject yourself to indignity of experiencing the thorough incompetence of this business.
Let’s start with dessert: the peach cobbler is excellent. Absolutely wonderful. Local ice cream, the cobbler dough is perfect. The collards are so-so, the black eyed peas made me think of my grandmother so I guess that speaks highly of them. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. Not the best but certainly not bad at all. Perfectly cooked and great batter, just wish it had some more salt and pepper and other spice. If I lived nearby, I would probably be back. However, I would not go out of my way.
