Worth the stop!. We had the pleasure of eating at Serpas tonight and it is worth the stop, I had the pork chop, my husband and friend had the ribeye. They were all excellent even the crab, lemon cream cheese fritters! I think I was the winner with the pork chop, apples, grits and au jus, I swapped the greens for asparagus and I loved every bite. I shared with companions who both went back for seconds and thirds! Only issue, which is no big deal we had a reservation for 8:30 did not sit until almost 9 and did not eat until almost 10. It was worth the wait though. Stop by if you have not tried it.
Gorgeous restaurant. This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. I loved everything about the environment. I felt like the portions were small but the food was good so it was forgivable. It was the perfect ambiance for the date night I was on.

Snooty. Nice location, but a little too snooty, and I think they are too proud of their food. $20 for a breakfast plate. Plus $2 for a soda. I got 2 poached eggs, one English muffin, 4 fried oysters and a handful of hash browns. That was 20 bucks. I was still a little hungry after I ate this, but God, I couldn’t afford anything more…I can go 1/2 mile down the street to larger portions, better food and I can feel more down to Earth…Won’t be back.
One of the BEST brunch deals in the city!. Stopped by Serpas and had brunch this past Sunday and had an amazing experience! While the restaurant was packed, the dishes we ordered arrived in a timely manner. We ordered: Tuna tartare, lemon crab cream cheese fritters, assorted bread basket, fried oysters egg benedicts and the gingerbread trifle and white chocolate cranberry bread pudding for dessert! The tuna tartare was to die for-generous portion of tuna mixed with green apple, korean chile paste, and onions on their housemade kettle chips, the lemon crab fritters were tasty, but seemed to be more cream cheese than actual crab, the bread basket had raisin scones, biscuits and jalapeno cornbread and was delicious! Next, was the fried oysters eggs benedict-loved the spinach and hashbrowns that it came with. My only gripe was that we received one large oyster, two small oysters and one miniscule oyster-sort f disappointing. Nonetheless, it was delicious! For dessert, I ordered the gingerbread trifle while my sister ordered the white chocolate cranberry bread pudding. I loved mine! Great gingerbread flavor and ice cream to top if off. The other was just okay, but I liked the chai tea ice cream it came with better. I look forward to dining here again-it was a great experience and a great atmosphere! One tip though: the busboys need to be promoted to a server! They gave us better service than any of the servers combined! bellavivere.blogspot.com
Great Brunch!. Started with the tuna tartare appetizer and it was amazingly tasty! It comes with homemade chips and is served in a glass truffle bowl with a spoon. It was so good that I wanted to eat it like ice cream. For entrees, I had the burger, which was really tasty with fresh meat, smoked cheddar and a red wine vinegar dressing – great combo of tastes. My Wife had the short ribs eggs benedict and loved it. Service was great and we raved so much about the food that the server brought Chef Serpas – nice guy and really passionate about his food! He described how he makes the tuna tartare – secret is spicy sesame oil. I have been back twice since the first visit (great place to take out-of-town guests) and the tuna tartare was equally as good during the follow-up trips!
Delish! I had the skirt steak an loved every bite of it. My father in law had the pork chop, my husband had the veal porterhouse and they both devoured their meals they were so tasty. During the week this place doesn’t seem to be too crowded, maybe they should try marketing or a Groupon incentive so people can also see what a great place this is. I know we will definitely be back!
