Great food and service at a premium price. A great steak place with great service and a fine selection of steaks. Steaks were cooked perfectly to order and flavorful. But like most premium steak houses, most everything is a la cart which racks up the bill, but leaves plenty for sharing. Bit disappointed that they didn’t offer a baked potato as the two should always go together! Interesting modern ambiance but the electronic music slightly distracting.
Not sure what their reservation policy is for early dinner 6p when you have literally only like 6 tables sat & staff(waiters/waitresses) just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. yet kept a party of 2 waiting 45mins plus. Bartender -Codey(the only good service we received) even asked once for us why we were still waiting they said they would be over in 1 moment 10 mins later still no one. We decided to leave & the hostess who at this point I believe just forgot about us (which is beyond me because we were THE only ppl at the bar or restaurant for that much, that were waiting for a table) had the nerve say have a good evening. Never acknowledging the fact we waiting so long & never received a table. And In the 45 mins we were waiting if there were ppl w/ reservation to come in we could have had our dinner & been on our way before we were in anyone way, besides the fact there were still more than a dozen tables still empty when we left. Was our 1 visit & will be our last… good food or not… service & treatment over powers that for me.
Food is always amazing….it has your typical steakhouse food but the seafood dishes and other exotic plates are not only beautiful but delicious. The market fish is always so flavorful and just enough food. The cobia last week was so yummy my friend ordered it and hasn’t stopped talking about it. I had the blt scallops and those were soooooo good. The steak is always cooked perfectly and I just love the Bernaise sauce. I try to go at least once a month! It’s my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. A bit pricey but worth it. Must haves….corn pudding, the dulce de leche donuts and whatever specials like the seafood is sooo fresh and cooked perfectly. It gets very busy so plan to make a night of it…it’s like a lounge club atmosphere so it’s about going out for the night, drinking and eating and taking your time to enjoy all the beautiful people. Lots of celeb citings too! I once sat next to Chris evens!! Captain America!!
If you like being seen in expensive places go to STK. If you like good food and not hanging out with ghetto thugs you should dine elsewhere. I saw people pouring from flasks into the coke they purchased.
My husband and I went and had a terrific time! Such a great atmosphere, the host, I believe his name was Jamie, was so professional yet friendly! He sat us at the perfect table. Quick, efficient service as he introduced us to our waiter and made sure we were pleased…both Jamie and our server went above and beyond! Nice to see with young adults nowadays! By the way the food was spectacular!!
Great steak—but not for the price. So our group of 10 called ahead for reservations. wWhen we arrived 45 minutes later, they acted like we were just walk ins. When seated about 10 minutes later, we were a menu fairly quickly. Drink orders were quickly taken also and it seemed like our meal would move pretty well. However, the servers were not seen for the next 15 minutes. During that time, we could hardly hear one another in the party speak because the music was playing so loudly. When the server returned we found that there were some specials however we could not hear what they were because the server could not be loud enough to the heard over the blaring music. When are orders were finally taken I found the service staff to be very helpful and accommodating. It took about another 20 minutes for our orders to begin to come from the kitchen. That was not a long wait at all. This is when the real highlight of the evening occurred. We are talking very good mouth watering steaks!I had a special with a delicious side red wine sauce. It was excellent. Cooked perfectly. I could cut it with a fork.Others have commented on the prices that are charged for a night out. A nice steak, a couple of glasses of wine and a few sides with a salad and desert easily runs a hundred to a hundred and fifty dollars–per personFor me that type of check would only be justified for an outstanding dinner. The steak was good but not worth it.
Great Atmosphere, Even Better Food. I went to STK on a date and we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We had a wonderful glass of wine (although it was a bit overpriced and the options were limited). We then ordered the tuna tartar, which was absolutely incredible. After that we weren’t starving so we decided to split a filet (8 oz. I believe). We chose mashed potatoes and mushrooms as sides and had a red wine reduction as well as foie gras butter on the steak. I am not exaggerating when I say that it may have just been the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked it to medium rare perfection!I will most definitely be back soon.
