My friends and I have been going to Taco Mac for years. Yes, over time it has become way more commercialized but the basic premise of the place is the same. Lots of beer options and pretty good wings. Great place to watch a game although it does get pretty crowded. Definitely better food than Hudson Grille across the street. For a little less of a commercial feeling experience, go to the Taco Mac in VA Highlands.
Poor service and questionable food. It was not busy… Only a handful of people in the place. It 20 minutes after we ordered just to get water, tea and beer. The tea tastes like they used it to rinse the mop. It took another 30 minutes to get our food and it was cold! I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. But cold is ridiculous!!!!!!
Always a wait. I am not the only one that’s noticed all of the empty tables at Taco Mac while the line to get in is out of the door, and the wait is one hour. Apparently, they want to create the illusion that they are so popular and busy that they have a line out of the door. My time is too valuable to wait around while they play their silly games.
Hour wait with a dozen open tables…ridiculous!. I frequent various Taco Mac locations around the area, but this one has to be the worst in terms of service. We arrived on a Saturday night to be told that there was an hour wait. While surveying the restaurant and bar area, we saw at least 12 tables and booths open…and NO ONE was being seated. One of the hosts even tried to shoo away a couple of patrons from a bar table, even though they didn’t bother to seat anyone there. We left and went to another restaurant instead. Will not be back.
Epic fail again……5th negative experience in a row.. 5 visits in the last year because I have friends who like to go here. In those 5 visits my food order has been wrong every time. Tonight’s experience really took the cake when my corrected food order arrived at the table as the rest of my party had finished and were asking for the check. This chain was built on wings and beer and yet they cannot deliver on that simple model.Poorly run, weak and slow on service, incompetent management.Strongly advise you consider other establishments in the immediate area that offer better service, quality and appreciate your patronage.
NEVER!!!. Worse experience ever! sat down for 20 minutes before having to flag down a waiter then waited another 30 minutes for nothing before getting the manager on duty who only rudely told us that he was under staffed before putting his roster on the table to show 7 people called out and yet he didn’t call anyone in. didn’t apologize for the service so I got up and left only to be told a smart comment. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Unfortunate and avoidable. I just had the worst instance of customer service that I’ve ever experienced in my life at this Taco Mac. The store has gone from being my favorite Taco Mac to one that I will probably never enter again. This is very simple there’s a problem with my take out order on Sunday. I called and was told that I would be placed on hold to speak with a manager. I waited for 10 minutes after being bounced back forth several times. I finally got to speak with Joya. Instead of providing good customer service she argued with me about whether or not my perception of my order being accurate was correct. She cut me off several times and then complained that I cut her off. Eventually it was decided that my order would be replaced. I walked back to the store. I asked to speak with her boss. After waiting another 10 minutes, I was told he was too busy to speak with me. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I would also like to point out that my original review clearly pointed out how much I loved this location. I have defended the customer service at this location multiple times in the past.
