Pretty good. I found a deal on Scout mob and decided to try it out since my coworker has talked about it. I had the dressing, half baked chicken and green beans and i was impressed. the dressing was my favorite but everything was so good. i will be going back and i would definitely pay the regular price for it.
Annoyed. For the third time I have been sorely disappointed in this restaurant. I thought maybe it was me, but it’s not. I went to get food after church. First problem, parking. I finally found a space and went in, and this is where the fun began. I stood in line for over thirty minutes only to find out that they only have turkey wings on Fridays. I get a little miffed and when the staff saw that, they thought it was hugely funny. I am a disabled, female, 60 year old veteran who does not like be laughed at. There should be a sign somewhere that alerts patrons that certain foods are only served on certain days. And don’t embarass patrons by laughing in their faces. You don’t know what kind of day someone has had.
No bad, Not great. I have visited Beautiful a number of times since living in Atlanta. Some of the food is good and others of it is just average. For example, the fried chicken is good but the baked chicken is usually dry and salty. They drown it in gravy to cover up how dry it really is. The cornbread is drowned in butter too. The sides I usually stick with are green beans and mac & cheese; they are consistently good. The potato salad is decent too. Avoid the banana pudding – it is just way too sweet and full of wafers and not enough pudding. The service/staff is so-so; they aren’t warm and fuzzy and some are just not nice at all. The apple pie is decent and the key lime cake is ok, but not great. Don’t go thinking you will find something healthy on the menu, other than fish occasionally. Think Paula Dean as in, if you’ve ever watched her cook, she does not skimp on the butter and other things that gives the food flavor but may not be that good for you. You just feel fat after eating there. After all it is a soul food restaurant. Overall, it’s okay. Walter’s Soul Food on Cleveland Avenue is better.
I didn’t get to eat at the Beautiful as often as I would have liked to but the couple of times I did go I was good. Fried chicken was seasoned and fried well, mac and cheese were good, dining room can fill up really quick and there are few extra tables in back. No ambience, no frills, just straight up, moderately priced home cooked food. Beautiful.
The Beautiful for lunch really was a beautiful experience. No frills, good, down home cooking!
Nice Spot..family setting. Great food, service and price.
Best Banana Pudding in town. Skip the vegetables and get the banana pudding.
