They used to have this stuffed burger called the Caribbean something or other. It was a vegetarian burger with Caribbean spices and a fried plantain I think. It was very creative and and tasted great, but unfortunately it was removed from the menu and all that’s left now is an uninspired black bean burger.

Pretty underwhelmed with my food. Had the black bean burger (mentioned as Atlanta’s Best black bean burger) — it feel apart and just no real flavor. The tots were also not the best (cold and soggy). Great staff and large patio seating right near P Park. Michigan State bar with local beers on tap and fishbowls.

Honestly, the food is just okay. Typical pub food at a decent price. The Tatchos are a really fun concept and the bbq variation is really very good. The reason I like The Nook is that it is a fun place to drink and hang out. The porch is awesome and the staff is equally so. If you are in the mood for a fishbowl, this is place to get one. The cocktails are great as are the beer and wine selection. Don’t go here for a nice dinner out, go with friends for a fun hangout spot.

Pub food. The service was great. And if you’re looking for pub food it’s fine. We weren’t too impressed with the food. I had the spicy chicken waffles, but waffles were dry and not very spicy. And hubby had some breakfast scramble with black beans but it was mainly eggs only).

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast. Delicious!

Waited for about an hour to get in and service was terrible. Nice outdoor patio, might be nice when it’s not crowded.
