Good veggie burger. Bad service.
Top Tier in the food truck options. Caught up with them on another busy day at the Howell Mill Food Truck Park.I gotta say that I was impressed with the couple of arepas (2 for 7 bucks) that I got. They have the balance down perfect between quality, flavors, amount, and price (this is something that some of the trucks seem to struggle with). Great big flavors in the Chicken Sofrito Arepa with a huge pile of chicken and some really tasty sauce, but absolutely noting compared the the veggie Arepa with a huge hunk of moz and veggies and more of the sauce… both on hot, soft, and moist corn cakes that just stayed together long enough to get in my mouth. About a perfect balance of flavor and texture and, as I eluded to earlier, the perfect meal for me at a very reasonable price.
Better than good. Food Truck Thursdays is just a short jaunt from the MARTA Avondale stop and so worth the journey. Make sure you get there before 8:30 as they close up quickly. I flew in from New Mexico, found rave reviews about the truck and managed to find them easily. I had my first Arepa and now I’m hooked! If you live in Atlanta and haven’t discovered WOW yet, you are missing out. Get off your couch and support a local gem. Their facebook page should let you know just where they are parked tonight.
WOW! Food Truck is the jam!. There’s been something of a food truck revolution in Atlanta recently and it’s great to see big crowds come out wherever they are parked. Anything that drives people to walk to a communal area to interact with strangers while eating delicious food in the fresh air is a wonderful thing! My favorite truck by far is the WOW! Food Truck. They have delicious arepas, veggie burgers and more. My favorite is the dog bowl, roasted chicken, pork or beef with potatoes, cheese and horseradish sauce. It’s so flavorful thoughyou don’t even need the sauce! I also recommend the chicken and cheese grits. The menu has enough variety to keep me coming back even though I hit the truck like 2 or 3 times a month. Oh, and don’t forget to try a homemade donut too! Check out the WOW! Food Truck on Facebook and Twitter for their schedule.
