Met a blind date here on a Sunday afternoon. I arrived early to get a table, calm the nerves, and watch some March Madness until the date arrived. The waitress walked by me numerous times and I finally had to stand up to ask for service. This was after being there 25 minutes. The date arrived and we just ordered drinks which were slow and not mixed correctly.
Great local bar with a good beer selection. I went in the early afternoon, and couldn’t help but think about going to the bar in my matching sweat suit when I’m old! Lol, but nice people good service, lots of different beer and a good lamb kebab calls for a thumbs up.
Yummy food items. The salmon app and fried artichoke app are wonderful. Love the caper mayo served with the salmon app. The rueben sand is yummy and so is the meatloaf stuffed with spinach. The soups and salads are OK. The staff is friendly and they will accomidate any special order you can imagine (or I manage to throw at them) with a smile. My son LOVES the shepard’s pie that is served in the winter months.
Service was great. Ackowledged when we came in and were directed to an empty booth immediatly. Food was ok. Had a burger which was ok, nothing special. Some of the more authentic dishes are probably worth a try. Very noisy but it’s what you would expect from a pub. Overall a great place to grab a beer an visit with friends.
Great place. The bat and ball pub has great atmosphere, friendly service, and surprisingly good burgers. I like eating in booths in dark restaurants where I don’t feel like I’m on display and where I don’t have to listen to other people’s conversations. Some items on the menu are a bit overpriced, but with the sandwiches, burgers, nachos you can’t go wrong. TVs are not too loud, waitresses are very nice, and the owner is around to make sure things go well. I love that they have strongbow cider on tap 🙂
