Valenza’s a Hit!. Valenza is a great restaurant in nice, little commercial block just off Peachtree Road in northeast Atlanta.Service is friendly and professional and very accommodating. The restaurant has a nice mix of feeling like a high-end restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. The food was uniformly delicious. The mussel appetizer was one of the best weve ever had. We had to request lots of extra bread to sop up all the delicious broth. On Tuesday they have a special whole lobster (conveniently taken out of the shell) on a bed of wonderful lobster risotto accompanied by a glass of house wine. We also enjoyed the excellent saltimbocca. On mild days, there is a very nice outdoor seating area.I would definitely return.
Service was ok & the food was ok. Won’t go back because nothing made me smile. It is pricey. Went with a friend, we spent $125, it wasn’t worth it.
Fantastic Find. My daughter and I drove through storms to get to Valenza the other night since we were craving their bread pudding. We decided to share four courses and everything we ate just kept getting better and better. We started with the mussels in a perfect light sauce with crusty bread. The Bolognese in pappardelle dish rivaled the pasta dishes we enjoyed during a month long visit to Italy. The scallops were served on a lemon risotto that delighted us with bursts of tomato and summer squash. The bread pudding we longed for was the perfect ending. This has been our favorite restaurant meal all summer.
Two tasty meals. I’ve been here twice and found the service pleasant and the food tasty. Once I had the Carbonara and the second time the clams (with pasta). The owner came by the second time to introduce himself and suggested we try his other restaurant next door (Haven) and that we can always order off of the Valenza menu if we wanted. Will be back. Not sure why all the negative reviews.
Worst experience EVER. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation….1 hour and 10 minutes later, we still were not at our table. Our party of four will never return after being treated so poorly. Sadly, all of this could have been avoided with a little communication on Valencia’s part, as we were enjoying drinks at the bar. Customer satisfaction is clearly not their priority.
Sublime califlower?! Who knew?!. I chose this romantic spot for a spontaneous Thursday night getaway. The lighting and dcor lent to mid-January bliss (as did arriving early before it filled up. Over outstanding mixed olives, I talked wine with our terrific waiter, Josh. He knew the menu well & made wonderful recommendations. He was also perfectly attentive. Our choices: a delicious Modus Ruffino super Tuscan- full of flavor with a dry finish that paired well with the warm and hearty risotto; and a Mantane primitive- sweeter and chewier- a perfect fit for the white bean soup and braised cauliflower that was out of this world flavorful. Thank you Velenza! We’ll be back!
Rude Service. We enjoyed the food, it was excellent, exquisite even. Our group spent over $420 plus the bar bill. We were hustled out of the bar before the last arrivals of our group even had time to order drinks and with no chance to socialize. Then, after dinner, when we had paid the bill and were starting to have some pleasant after dinner conversation, we were hustled away (ousted?) from our table to make room for another group. If we wanted to eat fast food we would have chosen Sabarro.Shabby treatment like this will result in our group not ever patronizing this restaurant again.
