HardShell Taco lovers beware!!. Great atmosphere and very quick service. However, I was disappointed with the tacos. I am a Taco lover and I will say RULE #1, If your going to be a Taqueria then you must offer more than #1 Variety of Taco Shells. This place only serves soft shell tacos. Also, I ordered the fried chicken taco and the chicken had been fried in the same oil that they fry the fish in. So it tasted more like a fish taco. Yuck!
It’s ok…. It’s a decent looking place with prime real estate in Brookhaven. Some of the staff were friendly, some were just alright. However, my server was nice.I went with three of their tacos: the Pulled Pork (bbq sauce, coleslaw), the Short Rib (pico de gallo, cilantro sour cream), and the special for the day which was the Sloppy Joe Taco (sloppy joe beef, cotija cheese, fritos). They came on flour tortillas and all three were just alright on flavors; nothing amazing, but not bad either. I will admit that they were all a decent size and they did have a nice amount of meat on them, which helps to make up for the lack of flavor. Still, I was unimpressed.I don’t dislike this place, and I might be swayed to come back with a group of friends, but I won’t be dining here by myself again. I definitely recommend you check Verde out for yourself and form your own opinion on it.
Below average food & all the staff walk around as if they are stoned ! Don’t waste your time here unless you just wanna grab a beer on the patio. The food is disappointing & off.
Solid modern mexican. The food was delicious, the tacos are generously portioned and delicious. The jalapeno queso was awesome as well. Definitely a solid meal.
Good. If you are looking for chips, salsa, cheese dip and such…don’t come here. The chips were burned and the salsa, and guac were not good. However, the margaritas were excellent. The tacos were excellent as well. When I go again I will stick to the tacos!! We had a blackened shrimp and grits taco, a pork taco, a steak taco, a chicken taco, and a fish taco. All were excellent!
