Started off with an order of onion rings which we had to send back because they were cold, then I moved on to a salad but the two people that were with me got French onion soup, which they had to send back because it was also cold. For my main course I ordered scallops. They were over cooked, and had clearly been a little more than seared both by the taste and the appearance of them, but at this point I was tired of sending things back and decided that maybe it was my fault for ordering scallops instead of steak. Anyway, I was told this was the best steakhouse in Atlanta and it’s just not that at all, from my experience tonight anyway.
Bones is a great place. Steak is 2nd to none. We had the shrimp cocktail and crab for our appetizers, both amazing. Jumbo shrimp! For dinner we had the bone in ribeye and the filet. The ribeye and filet had tremendous flavor. The sides were great too. Dessert, pecan pie and chocolate torte were a great way to end the night. Service was awesome as well.
One of the best steak house in Atlanta. Their steaks are cooked to perfection. A bit slow in service probably because it was really busy when we were there. Overall, the service was great as well as the food. Nice simple decor, clean and fresh.
This place is so spot on. Love the simple decor and the steaks are solid. This is a must stop when I am in Buckhead. Drinks are a generous pour as well.
There are truly no words for Bone’s in terms of what it represents as a restaurant and as a beacon of hope that there are truly some meals that can be transcendent experiences. The first time I went to Bone’s I ordered the lamb chops. I almost cried. I had never tasted something so simply amazing. I could have consumed the entire thing in under two minutes but there’s something about Bone’s that makes you want to enjoy the experience, and what an experience it is. The servers are some of the most knowledgable, patient, welcoming people I have ever run into in the service industry. I have been to Bone’s perhaps five times, and every time I go it is without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life.
We were a big group of over 30 visiting Atlanta & Bones was recommended as a great steak restaurant.Like the old world charm with a fine selection of wines ( I had burbon though Angels Envy). We have a fixed menu for the group in a private area with Caesars salad, option of steak or seafood with key lime pie as dessert. The steak did not disappoint, I had the rib eye medium rare , just love the juicy large portions they serve.Service was a bit iffy though with delay in service, chip is glasses.
Many friends have told me for a few years that Bone’s rivals, if not succeeds many if not all high-end Atlanta elite steakhouses, if not in the U.S. So tonight for my birthday, I decided to take friends and family to put it to the test. It was an A+ experience. We started with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Cocktail, which was fresh and plentiful. For entree we went with the Bone-In Ribeye (20 oz) cooked perfectly medium-rare. Overall, I could argue Bone’s is great, up on the list with Hal’s, New York Prime and perhaps Kevin Rathbun Steak here in Atlanta.
