A little pricey but… It’s so worth it! They have a pretty extensive & unique menu, lots of vegetarian choices. The chicken caesar pita is amazing. Definitely one of the best joints in calhoun.
Crazy delivery Cost. The food is awesome but you can’t afford the delivery charge. We call to find out what the delievery charge was and they wanted to charge $20 to delivery it across town. We ask to make sure it wasn’t a order of $20 and they said no. Its $20 on top of what your food cost. If they didn’t want to deliver they just should say that and not charge a crazy price. They are crazy!

A Real Gem in Calhoun!. Historically, Calhoun has been a wasteland of chain restaurants. Christian and Jake’s totally bucks that trend!Good stuff: * As a vegetarian, I really appreciated their very extensive vegetarian selection (around 15 menu items). * I had a reuben (with veggie meat), and HOLY COW. Overflowing with a perfectly balanced mixture of sauerkraut, cheese, and veggie corned beef, it’s probably the best reuben I’ve ever had. * The vibe retro cafe vibe is cool and fitting. * Their dessert selection rocks. My party and I shared a lemon cream cake and a creme brle cheesecake, and both were excellent.Bad stuff: * My wife ordered a bowl with veggie chicken salad, potato salad, and pimento cheese. While all were excellent, it really needed more than one roll to accompany them. A few slices of bread would be nice.Bottom line: Christian and Jake’s is a real gem. Their extensive menu, cool vibe, and delectable desserts make it a winner. If you’re in Calhoun or driving through the area, you’ve got to check this place out!
Love Love Love it!!. Christian and Jake’s Bistro is completely Yummmy. My all time fav is the Chicken Salad Sandwich….my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Or how about a Chicken Salad Melt…Im swimming. I suggest ordering a sandwich, eat half and take the rest for later, that way you can have room for dessert!! OMG to die for! The cream pies are amazing, I highly recommend the Peanut Butter cream pie! The Cheesecakes are also really good…I’ve tried several of them and oh yes.I live too far away to eat here regularly but when I am in the area, I go every chance I get. I like to bring a friend(s) so we can taste each others meals.
All that & a bag of chips!. Say what?!… Peanut Butter Melt (with marshmallow and bacon)!! Christian & Jake have a suh-weet menu with something for everyone! Two kinds of veggie burgers (garden and black bean), a veggie Reuben, vegetarian chicken salad, veggie dogs and a veggie BLT. I would say that the vegan dishes here are comparable to Doomie’s Home Cookin’ in LA. One of my faves. The french dip, reubens, clubs & melts are made with Boar’s Head premium deli meats & they have a nice selection of aged cheese to choose from as well. The Manhattan (pastrami, corned beef, swiss, slaw and russian dressing on rye) reminds me of a Canter’s Deli classic. They have a revolving door of over 150 different kinds of pies & sum other magical desserts to boot. No shortage of choices here, no siree Bob. *Drooling* The Praline & Cream Pie is seriously the best dessert in the entire history of ever!! The sweets are truly in a league of their own, and the cherry on top.. wait for it.. wait.. free gift certificate drawings every week!! The portions are cartoonishly generous & the price is right. Not to mention that good ol’ fashioned Southern hospitality.. just tickles me pink 😉 Sweet as a Georgia peach I tell ya! They knew exactly how to butter my muffin so you can bet yer bottom dollar that I’ll be back for the crme de la crme!
