We were on our way from Atlanta to Nashville. Even if youre not hungry – stop here and get some tacos. Basic amenities, clean, very friendly, casual and the food is very good. If youre not from Calhoun, you will drive right by the place. Be careful making the left turn. Youll be glad you stopped by.
Great tacos!. Had 6 3 churiza, 1azada, 2camaron tacos with traditional cilantro and onions on corn tortilla shell plus avocado!! The food was great and the staff was really friendly! Will def make the 30 min drive to eat here again!

VERY GOOD!!!!. I’d heard some positive things about this place, so decided to stop in tonight. I was very surprised to see that this restaurant had not been listed on US yet. Anyway, I want to do a full critique of the establishment, so here is another Gula Review: Atmosphere/Ambience: They’ve decorated the outside very nicely, has a nice spanish look. There is a Mexican store on the right side, that I failed to go explore. The dining area is a lot different than most. There is a bar one can sit at and see the cooks at work on the other side of the bar. It’s a very simple set-up, but everything is cooked right there. Not a lot of effort in the decor, but has a more authentic ambience. Several flatscreens. Mexican music playing. Overall, decent dining area. Nice restrooms. THREE FORKS!!!Cleanliness: I didn’t see any cleanliness issues, everything appeared to be quite tidy.I didn’t see the health score, but most likely overlooked it. Right now, I feel comfortable giving them FOUR FORKS!!!!Service: Friendly, eager to accommodate, informative, apologetic when they forgot my tortillas. I was happy with the way I was treated. FOUR Forks!!!!Quality of Food: My wife enjoyed authentic Steak Tacos, which she loved. I ordered the Mojarra Frita, which is a whole tilapia fish fried. I must say, it was delicious. It was a chore eating around all the bones, but worth it. Chips and salsa were decent, rice and beans were good, beans were whole. Grapefruit Jarritos to drink. FOUR FORKS!!!!Value of Food: The Mojarra Frita was $10.95. The fish was accompanied with side salad, corn tortillas, rice, beans and lime. I felt like this was average price for this entree. THREE FORKS!!!FINAL SCORE: 3.6 – VERY GOOD! I can’t wait to return to try some of the other menu items. I saw a lot of food coming out to other tables that looked great!!!!
