Great little find in Canto GA! Went here for my nices 14th birthday because she loves raw oysters. The oysters were fresh, large and delicious. The fritters balls are my sisters favorite. The crab dip and lobster bisque are awsome. We will definatly be back for the Wendesday night oyster special soon and often. We Love Goin’ Coastal! &
Ehhh. Canton deserves a nice seafood establishment but this isn’t it. Wife had shrimp and grits and I had blackened swordfish – the shimp was tasty and a decent sized portion while the swordfish was rather lame in size and had an odd tasting sauce. The house salad was chopped and rather bland but the portion was OK. Prices a little on the high side, most of the wait staff was friendly, but rather slow service considering the restraunt was not filled.And what’s up with reserved seating at the bar? Doubt I’ll be back as I can get better food in Woodstock or at the local Red Lobster.
Food great except…… We had a party of four. Everything went well until the dinner for the 4th member didn’t get put into the kitchen with our order. They served three of us and our 4th member got his order approximately 15 minutes after the rest of us started. Other than that, the food was superb!Don’t know why this review says Seattle – should say Canton….
We almost didn’t go for lunch today because of the last few poor reviews. We went anyway and were pleasantly surprised. The crab cake really had large lumps of crab. The trout was well seasoned and fresh as were the scallop tacos and the sides. We’ll go there again.
Nld. Use to love this place. We haven’t been there in about 9 months….It was terrible. They use to serve delicious large squares of corn bread and would gladly refill if asked. Instead we got 4 little round bites….the size of a small cookie if even that large. Didn’t taste like anything and in fact it was an insult even calling it bread. Staff was rude and dinner was not memorable. Sorry, but we wont be back.
Bad meal. We ate there today what a disappointment.We had the salmon salad, oysters and lobster for dinner.The salad was not that fresh, I had the same salad a few months back and was so much better, looks like they have cut back, smaller portions and not the same quality, my husband said the same about the oysters and lobster. We will NOT be back.
My husband and I have visited Goin’ Coastal several times and it is usually wonderful. But the last 2 times have been a disaster. A few weeks ago the man that waited on us looked like he had a mouth full of tobacco and was extremely neglectful. Tonight we dined in and our waitress was obviously new. Our food was rushed out so quickly. She was neither knowledgeable or present when we needed her. She couldn’t answer our questions and we had to ask another waitress for our check after we had been sitting for several minutes with our dirty plates in front of us. Very disappointed. Food was okay. Service? Well I’ll let you decide! If there is a next time we will request someone that smiles and is knowledgeable.
