I was a little concerned to be the only customer in here at noon on a Monday, but the food was very good and the staff was very friendly. The chorizo burrito grande was excellent. I’d go back.
On a rainy Thursday…. I had a very nice lunch at this restaurant several years ago and, when I had an occasion to be back in Canton, GA today, I went back to see if they were still there. I couldn’t remember the name of the restaurant that had been there on my previous visit, but it was in the same location that I remembered, so my friend and I decided to give it a go and we were rewarded in many ways. The building is a lovely old house that has been converted into a restaurant/ Hispanic food store and we found great selections of teas, herbs and spices. (I read on another site that this place has changed hands since my last visit.) Our greatest discovery, however, was the menu and the delightful young man who served our table and made many helpful suggestions. The tamales were delicious and (sorry for all the customers who followed us because) we bought their remaining frozen stock to take home! The frijoles were very well seasoned, and the rice was light and fluffy and didn’t contain the Veg-all material that so many Tex-Mex restaurants serve. My friend said that the chiles rellenos were the absolute best she has ever eaten–this from a woman who has traveled widely. All-in-all it was great afternoon. On a dreary Thursday at 2:00 pm, we dropped into a vacant restaurant in Canton, GA, and were greeted like friends, treated like family. I cannot say enough about the young man who waited on our table, and wish I had asked his name–he was the most courteous, helpful, and professional server I have ever encountered. Best wishes to all who are involved in this business and I hope your success is beyond your wildest dreams. You deserve everything good that comes your way.
