Memories. I started going to McGee’s in 1965 while a freshman at WGC. I sometime went late at night while studying.I would tap on the door and Mr. McGee would come unlock the door and get me some pastries. Very nice gentleman. The pastries were great and always fresh. I will return soon.

I do not live in Carrollton but every time I’m there, I swing by McGee’s Bakery for cream horns. They are the BEST I’ve ever tasted and I have tasted a LOT. They are run by 4th generation McGees. I discovered them years ago and they have moved twice since I first found them but I manage to track them down. The owner explained why their cream horns are so good and buttery and melt in your mouth, but I must confess I think I tuned out and was dreaming of eating one at the time. Whatever they do, it works. These cream horns are the BEST ANYWHERE. Even big city specialty bakeries or cupcake shops can’t compare. Go by and get you one or two or three.

Love it!. I came in for the first time the other day and I was greeted the minute I walked in the door. The service is great and they have a good selection that changes a bit every time I visit. They have brownies, cream horns (my favorite), petit fours, gingerbread men, 5+ different yummy cookies, danishes, cheese straws..too many to recall. I get a cream horn every time I go in and they’re awesome every time. Only cost $1.50 too! I’ve been to other bakeries in town and in the area and this is by far the best! Highly recommended!
