Best Japanese in Cartersville. My husband and I used to order take-out from Okinawa often when we lived in town. My suggestion is the teryaki chicken fried rice, and be sure to get a lot of seafood sauce, because that stuff is GOOD!
Enjoyed the Cartersville roll, the hibachi chicken was good, atmosphere a 5/10 agree with other review waitstaff has break table by front cash register, unprofessional. Overall good value, but not for business or serious date.
I love Okinawa. I had at Okinawa last week and both the Sushi and Hibachi were great. I love the fact that you can get your own table and don’t have to go through all that corny Chef show and tell. It is fun the first few times but after a couple of times, you want the food and not pay for the show and tell. The great news to me is that they are opening their second Okinawa in February in West Cobb across the street from the Avenue on Dallas Highway. It will be in the same center as Johnny’s Pizza. I can’t wait till mid February, when they are scheduled to open up
I’m in Cartersville area very infrequently, but I always make it a point to dine in at Okinawa. Delicious food, stellar service, and reasonable prices make Okinawa possibly one of the best places to eat in Cartersville. I usually eat sushi but I have also tried the Filet Mignon. Both were delicious and the Filet was a surprisingly large portion. The service is always quick and efficient during lunch. Their servers are always just the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. I visit many different areas for my work and Okinawa always stands out. Highly recommended.
It is great!!. I eat at Okinawa almost every day at lunch, and my husband and children eat with me several evenings a week as well. We always have great service and great food. The comment below must have occurred on an off night for sure, please give them the opportunity to make a wrong (a mistake) a right. They strive in being the best and I have always seen them succeed in doing so. Okinawa Cartersville and their entire staff are the best. It will be worth the second trip, and if you have never visited them before, it is definitely worth the first trip.As far as comparing Shogun or Tokyo to Okinawa is like comparing apples and oranges because they are two different types of restaurants. For really good Japanese food at reasonable prices there no place in our area compares to Okinawa. For those of us that absolutely love Japanese cuisine, but don’t want to pay for watching the cook perform then, Okinawa is the perfect place to eat.
Fantastic. Less expensive than Tokyo and the wait staff is much more friendly. I definitely enjoy every visit. The food is fantastic and the sushi always tastes fresh and delicious. This is the restaurant that I use to introduce my friends to Japanese food. 🙂
Great Hibachi. I usually take my family to Okinawa about twice a month. The food never disappoints. Hibachi is always good and the sushi is always fresh. My only problem with the place is the staff. With the exception of maybe 3 or 4 people that I’ve seen much of the staff looks very Un professional. Some have multiple piercings on their face which isn’t a deal breaker for me but to be honest it’s something I don’t enjoy looking at while having dinner. I don’t believe I’m alone in feeling that way either.
