Not a good experience. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant in the Snellville area, so I looked up on the internet and found the El Jinete in Centerville. I ready the reviews which were all outstanding, so we gave it a try. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. We had a 25 minute wait to start things off. Once we got seated, our drink and food order was taken. I understand that it was a very busy night for the restaurant, but you don’t leave customers waiting for their food for 25 minutes or so. The server did not come back to check on us at all. Others keep the chips and dip coming. Once the food started coming, three and 1/2 of the four entrees were brought to the table. The other 1/2 of the fourth entre, which happen to be the main dish of the entre, wasn’t brought to the table until the others were at least half way completed with their meals and the refried beans and rice was cold. And They couldn’t even refill a glass of water, must less others drinks. The food was just your typical fast food Mexican , not that far above your local Taco Bell or Del Taco. The service was absolutely deplorable. I would not recommend this place on my worst enemy. Spoke to the manager and yes he took off half of the entre cost and the beverages, but that only made the whole experience tolerable. NEVER WILL GO BACK!!!
Ate here on a Friday night, it was very busy inside but we got a table. The menu is huge and they have a big selection from pork, to chicken, to seafood entrees. We ordered some beers but the waiter was not very knowledgable about the beer prices and the prices were not listed anywhere on the menu. Another member in our party ordered a margarita and wow it was strong!! The food was very delicious but a little overpriced. By the time we left there were people waiting outside to get a table. I would definitely come back and eat here again. It seemed like a very lively atmosphere.

Not so great. Went bcuz the reviews seemed so promising but for us not too good. Margaritas were horrible. Food was ok but just not worth coming back for. We’ll stick to frontera.
SUPER friendly and GREAT pork!. First, the staff at El Jinete could not be friendlier. They provide very efficient service while making you feel right at home. Ramone and the other waiters quickly became our friends. Sometimes we go eat there just to say hi.Food: My favorite dishes are the Carnitas Dinner and the Burritos Roquetta (sp?). They both have the same roasted, shredded portk. It is very tasty and you’ll probably take some home. The other dishes are good too- typical Mexican fare, but well prepared, hot and tasty. Love this place!!
BEST MEXICAN WITHIN 15 MILES. My fiancee and I have both lived in snellville for most of our lives and had both been introduced to El jinete at early ages, and let me just say. This is the best customer service and authentic mexican food you will find, Everything is priced well below any franchises of fony mexican food. The drinks here are served strong and are well worth the reasonable prices, we actually refer to their margaritas as brown drinks because of how much tequila they give you. All employees are respectful and want to make sure you enjoy your time and come back. Now im going again tonight!!!
First time here. I’ll be back.. I have lived in Snellville for many years and i have never heard of this place before. Maybe it’s because I refuse to shop at Ingles and that appeared to be the only thing in this shopping center. When a friend of mine invited me and my husband we tried it out for the first time. We ordered the fajitas for 2. Boy you could have fed a family of 4 with this meal for under $20. We both had Texas Margaritas. He had the frozen and I had mine on the rocks. This place was pretty good. In fact we are going again this Friday with our whole team.
