Reliable Chinese food. Good service.
Our go to Chinese resturant. This is our once a week Chinese dinner. We usually do take out but dine in is just as good. I love their shrimp fried rice, General chicken, Pu Pu platter, fried wantons, crab Rangoon, and phoenix and dragon sans crab. I don’t love their egg roles or shrimp with lobster sauce. Our order is always right and they are very nice. One of the best things is that they are open until 10:00pm. They are right next to Moe’s at 78 and Killian Hill.
Hunan Gardens. They are a great restaurant. They will deliver until very late at night, when others won’t. They will adjust their dinners for whatever you like or don’t like. Their lunches are ALWAYS reasonable — around $6 or $7. And their food is REALLY REALLY good. Try the Mushu Pork (spelling?). Really good. Small place, but good food. 🙂
Great food, never crowded. I have never had a bad or even mediocre dish at Hunan Garden. It’s further from our home than other chinese restaurants, but we make the drive when we’re in the mood for something special. They’re located next to Moe’s, on the opposite side of the shopping center from Chili’s, kind of hard to find but well worth the effort for this jewel in the rough.Their soup is probably the best I’ve tasted in the Atlanta area. Sizzling Rice and Hot & Sour are favorites. Their hot tea is also a notch above what you’ll find other places. I don’t know what they do to it, but it’s just better. You can get the standard fare (Mongolian Beef or Broccoli Chicken) at any time, but they have specials on the dinner menu which we haven’t found other places. We have yet to be disappointed by anything we have ordered at Hunan Garden, and the service has always been exemplary. Prices are average for above average fare. In other words, a great deal.
