Today was our first time eating dim sum. It was a great experience! Everything we tried was delicious! My husband and I were afraid that our bill would be huge but we only spent $25.50 and we tried so many different things. We will definitely be back!
Great Lunch!. We got here just after opening today. It was a minute and the place began to steadily fill up. We thought we would just order entrees today but quickly changed our minds as the carts began to roll by. Every item we tried was truly enjoyed and our only regret was leaving a portion of the last selection. We’ll be back to try more of the offerings!18 Apr, 20153 Types Of Shrimp Dim Sum. All of these were outstanding!03.17.16We came back today for lunch and ordered entrees and dim sum. We abandoned the entrees and ate dim sum! We actually took the entrees with us when we left. The shrimp dim sum and the jalapeno pork dim sum were our favorites today.
When you show up at 10:58 and there are already 7 Asian families lined up outside waiting… Just go with it. They have a very tame Americanized menu, but the dimsum is their gem. They also serve congee around lunch time if you dig rice porridge. The only thing that made me sad is that absolutely everything on the dimsum carts looked delicious and we could only eat so much. We had 2 or 3 things from four different carts, piping hot oolong tea, and excellent service for just over $30 with tip. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach you could end up leaving miserably full. My husband and I had 2 types of shu mai, little shrimp and leek dumplings, spicy chicken feet, some kind of beef knuckle, two types of pork buns, sticky rice, and and a few other tasty things that we didn’t recognize but every single thing was fresh and delicious. I only wish we had stumbled upon this place sooner. I can’t wait to make another trip.
Dim Sum Heaven. This has got to be one of the most fun places to eat in Atlanta. Located on Buford Highway in the Chinatown district, this place is a local favorite. Sometimes, the place is packed and the entire front plaza is filled with hungry waiting customers. If you go when this happens, go to the right hostess and she will give you a number (the left hostess takes payments). Once you are sat, the place is full of people pushing steaming carts of delicious dim sum of all sorts of varieties. Some carts have soup and desert and rice, and some waiters have trays of roasted duck, rice cake, buns, vegetables, and the list goes on. They roll up, you point at what you want, and they jot down your orders on a bill on the table. Now, pace yourself! It’s easy to get carried away here! Stay away from the buns, soup and rice. It fills you up! You’re going to want to try everything and starchy fillers will ruin the fun for you! Last time we went we had a plate of rice cake egg saute, roasted duck, steamed shrimp dumpling, steamed shrimp and vegetable dumpling, steamed broccoli rabe, pork and shrimp stuffed peppers, roasted stuffed eggplant, and a few other things along with green tea and home made soy milk. This place has so many fun options you wouldn’t be able to try them all if you went every day of the week! Our bill was only $43, so it’s a cheap thrill too. You can’t go wrong at this place. If the locals love it, it’s Got to be good.
Amazing!. The freshest Chinese I have ever had in Atlanta and it tasted ridiculously good. I cannot wait to come back and try other things they have. I highly reccomend you make a visit here.
After taking a hyatus front eating here I decided to try for lunch. Not bad, but Very Limited selection of dim sum. No sticky rice….same 2 carts going around with same items. I give them a 4 out of 10. Too bad they were the best but have lost it lately.14 Jun, 2012This restaurant used to be much better it seems as though now they are a production line what quality has come in second place . service can be spotty used to be an 8 of 10 I know rank it about a 7 of 10
Dim dim sum. Bustling house. Decent variety of rather bland food. Horrible, slow, inattentive service (water, tea refills, table clearing). Dim sum carts did not evenly cover room. Hideous pile up of dirty dishware waiting to be washed had to be navigated around to get to restrooms. Very inexpensive dim sum, but there are better sources. Not tried: seafood specialties which might be worth visit.
