The food is overpriced and dishes size are small. Not worth of your money. The food is not freshly cooked and taste is just ordinary. I will not visit the same place again.
Wow, amazing restaurant! The food and atmosphere is amazing. 10/10 would recommend for authentic Indian food close to the city. I had the Panir Masala and was not disappointed. I haven’t been this pleased with Indian food since I was in India. Come here!!
OMGeez!. I had the absolute best experience here and food was unspeakably delicious! Not enough words in the English language to describe the party my taste buds had!!
Delicious Chicken Vindaloo, Garlic Naan with a generous amount of Garlic, excellent Mulligatawny soup. Friendly service, reasonably priced, delicious flavors and good spice level. Can’t wait to come back.
Delicious! This is my new go-to restaurant for delivery. Tried this place because it delivers to the area where we live and we were blown away by the quality of their delicious dishes. We tried the Saag Ponir, Butter Chicken, Begoon Bhorta, and their Chicken Tikka Masala. The aromatic saffron basmati rice was perfectly prepared and remained moist and delicious as leftovers the next day. I did not have the usual hangover from eating the food, so I think they are likely wise on their choice of oils. My husband and 20-month old really enjoyed it as well. It will take a lot to convinde me to try another Bengladeshi or Indian restaruant in Atlanta again. This will be a regular place for us for certain.
Excellent Bangladeshi/Indian food. Purnima is a fairly new Indian restaurant (open for a few months now). The place has some light decorations, but is mostly low-key. The service is very friendly. The food is very good and more than reasonably priced.I’ve been here about a dozen times now and have enjoyed every single dish that I’ve tried. The cook is a non-English speaking Bangladeshi lady who is as nice as can be. Seriously, even though she doesn’t understand anything I’m saying, she still tries to help me out with whatever I may need with the kindest smile that never goes away. The entire staff is Indian/Bangladeshi, which is a good sign for authentic cuisine, and will help you pick a dish that fits your tastes. Every dish’s heat level can be customized to your preference. The basmati rice is some of the best I’ve had; it’s very fragrant and they even put whole cardamom pods in it!! Every dish is loaded with spices and are pretty large portions, especially for the price. I also like that the dishes here aren’t as heavy as most Indian restaurants. The cuisine relies a lot on cream sauces, but Purnima is able to keep theirs fairly light.Unfortunately, out of all the times I’ve been here, I’ve only ever seen another customer twice. This includes the lunch buffet and dinner service. Also, Purnima has already changed ownership once during the few months it’s been open. Though, I think this was to bring someone in who has more experience in the restaurant business, since the entire staff still remains. The new owner has trimmed down the still extensive menu (you can still order what was on the old menu, by the way), and added the little decoration there is (the place was bare-bones before). I really hope this place succeeds because it’s some of the best Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine that I’ve had. Hopefully the heavy foot traffic for Ph 24 a couple shops down will garner some attention for this place… it definitely deserves it.
