Had the opportunity to try out Vintage Pizza again recently – previously we arrived about 10 minutes before closing and they were surprisingly accommodating. The service was excellent as before. As we did before, we ordered a small Greek Salad to split while the pie was being made – a fairly generic but good salad with the usual Greek olives and feta. It could have used a second pepperoncini but no big deal – I liked the dressing a lot. The main course was a medium pie covered with mushrooms and jalapenos, half covered with pepperoni (for me!). I liked the freshness of the ingredients, however the sauce could have been a bit spicier. The fresh jalapenos were a welcome change – in general I like the pickled ones more but these provided a lot of heat and some needed texture. The best thing about the pie was the crust – there aren’t many pizza places in Atlanta that can do a good, traditional crust. Don’t get me wrong, I rather enjoy a sour-dough or whole wheat crust, but I do occasionally like something more traditional in white dough. Vintage does an excellent job both with the substance and the bake – these slices could be held with very little limp at the end – perfection!Rounding out the meal was a pint of Fat Tire on tap – I’ve found it to be the perfect pizza ale with just that hint of needed bitterness, but without the dry hops aftertaste of local or micro-brews (the ubiquitous 420 comes to mind). The medium pie with 2.5 ingredients, 1 pint of beer and the small Greek came out at $23 – not bad feeding two. I’ll be sure to visit again – I think it’ll be great for a medium to small group independentrestaurantreview.com

Foods good service isn’t.. The food and the environment here is consistently good. The service is hit or miss.Just last week I came in for their lunch special, they serve slices during lunch till 3:00It was 2:30 and the waitress told me they where out of slices?? but I guess I could order a whole pizza or maybe not eat pizza but that’s why I came here. Good thing there are lots of good/better options around here for lunch. I left and doubt I’ll ever go back for lunch again. I think I’ve had lunch here about thirty times a year since they opened this is the second time this has happen in the last few months. I’m done with them here for lunch. They don’t seem to care about their customers. But like I said there are better places near by that do.

Love this place!. One of my favorite places. Consistently good and always friendly service. Casual atmosphere. Reasonable prices. One side of the restaurants is for kids and families; the other side is adults only. Love both for what they are intended for. The vintage pizza (the works – veggies, meat, etc) and the veggie are both great, full of toppings but in the right amounts and sizes. Caesar salad is also really good. Calamari here is one of the best. Lightly fried along with jalapeos and ocra. Yum

What has happened?. I would eat here every couple of weeks. I have always loved the pizza, but it’s not as good as it used to be. Something has definitely happenedwith the quality within the past few months. I wonder if anyone else feels the same?

Good food but horrendous management and our waiter was brutal. That happens, but management should be savy enough to correct, not make it worse. The trivia is fun on Thursdays, but sadly won’t be back.
