Charlotte’s my sweetest friend!. Discovered Charlotte this morning and had a cinnamon roll and coffee with her. I had so much fun that I returned two hours later and bought a quiche and the best red velvet cupcakes. Soon after my husband went there for lunch — a delicious quiche. I can’t wait to go back and don’t know what I’ll do on Sundays and Mondays when she’s closed. I’ll recommend that all my friends visit Charlotte’s.
Charlotte’s Moved!. She’s moved into the Mercer Plaza – 140 Johnny Mercer and seems very happy she did. She’s located inside the Plaza, behind and to the right of the water fountain. The best cinnamon rolls on the island and possibly in Savannah. Her shop is bright, cheery and clean. Along with the awesome Key-Lime cake, Carrot Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes, and Chocolate cake, she has brownie pie and mini-cheese cakes just the right size for sharing, or having some and saving some for later. She makes Challah, Walnut Bread, Banana Bread, as well as Cheese breads. She is currently offering Grilled cheese sandwiches using her Cheese bread for the lunch folks. There are soups for lunch, as well as chicken and/or shrimp salad on crescent rolls for lunch too. She’s even offering a soup/sandwich combo. She’s changed up her menu a bit but always has a 2 for $1 cookies in stock for those looking for a quick, inexpensive, but yummy treat.
Best crumb cake ever!. My wife and I finally made it to Charlotte’s today. Charlotte was just taking a crumb cake out of the over, and it was the best I’ve ever had! I was counting on getting a little taste of the wife’s cinammon roll, but it disappeared too quickly. These two items, 2 coffees ( free refills ) and a loaf of wonderful cheddar bread came to less than $15. I will have to support this local business to make sure I can satisfy my sweet tooth with such high quality offerings! The staff are as good as the food as well. VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!!
