Very Good. Over the weekend we had an opportunity to try the recently opened, Taqueria Oaxaquena. This restaurant is located in the Stars and Stripes shopping center in the old DoDah’s/Verns establishment. I’ve decided to do a full Gula critique: Atmosphere/Ambience: There was quite a bit of money invested in this building by the former owners, and that initial investment is still apparent here. I’ve always thought that this interior was one of the nicest in Chatsworth. It just has a roomy updated feel. I do like it. FOUR FORKS!!!!Cleanliness: Health score was a 96. I did not observe any cleanliness issues, so I’m gonna give them a 4.2 FORKS!!!!.Service: Overall good. Friendly. We had a large party and food was arriving around fifteen minutes. THREE FORKS!!!Quality of Food: The menu here leans more heavily to the authentic side of the border! That’s what their selling point is, because most of the authentic Mexican restaurants in nearby Dalton are Taco Trucks, small trailers and buildings, so to have one with a nice dining ambience is a change of pace. Anyway, I’ve tried the Muharra Frita which was good, chicken taco was very tasty. I’d give them a 3.5 thus far!!!:Value of Food: The prices are very reasonable! I’d give them FOUR FORKS for the value of the food.FINAL SCORE: 3.74 ~ VERY GOOD
