Meh. Ok if you’re passing by and need a bite to eat.
The carpet here is awful. Smells musty.Food is not so bad…..but probably be better if they got new cooks…leak from a ceiling panel dripped water into my drink. That could make someone sick…I think th is restaurant had great potential but they need to change how they cook their food…replace the carpet…do sone work on the place.
Food is terrible!
How in Heavens Name does this place stay open. The service is terrible but better than the food. Southern cooking that is overcooked and totally void of seasoning. Maybe they had good food once but those days are long gone!!
Good Food. I have eaten here several times both breakfast and lunch both are really good I had the chicken livers they have them everyday on the lunch special They were good a little dry and they give you a plate full good southern cooking for a restaurant but it ain’t how mama fixed it
Not Good. Cherokee Life Magazine recently recently rated this restaurant as having the best fried chicken in Cherokee County. So with that in mind, what else could we order but chicken? We REALLY wanted it to be good, but I don’t know if it was the time of day or what, but it was the driest fried chicken we’ve ever eaten. If it wasn’t for the glass of ice tea, I honestly think I may have choked to death right there in the restaurant. It was simply the worst chicken we’ve ever eaten, and trust me that is saying alot. We went on a Saturday about 4:30 in the afternoon.Other Notes: The green beans and ice tea were excellent, but the same cook who made the chicken must have made the corn bread because it was way too dry. The price for this lovely dinner was around $20. Simply because of the price, we will give this restaurant another chance but certainly will not be ordering chicken.
Great food, but I agree with the previous review on that they don’t have convenient hours. I understand wanting to be closed on Sunday, but that is the main time I want that kind of food.
