Great meal.. I had a great meal at Tucker’s this evening. I decided on the Cajun Seafood Combo with onion rings and mac and cheese. The shrimp was blackened with just enough seasoning as to not overpower the dish. The Tilapia had a very cajon flavor. The onion rings were crispy and the macaroni and cheese was taste like your grandma made it. Service is always a pleasure at Tucker’s.
Excellent everything.
I have found my new favorite restaurant. We were in town to visit my son at Piedmont College and stopped in to Tucker’s for an early dinner. What a wonderful place! The food was excellent. I had the best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had and I know my chicken salad ..lol… my husband had the chicken philly and he loved it. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and interesting. Our service was phenomenal and we met the owner who is very friendly – she instantly felt like an old friend. Don’t miss this gem of a restaurant. We will definitely be back. There are so many yummy looking dishes on the menu to try!
Awesome!. Never felt compelled to write a review, until now. Happened upon Tucker’s Country Cooking while taking the scenic route from Atlanta to Asheville. So glad my husband had gotten us lost. We found ourselves, as getting lost often does, tired, hungry and on the way to food establishments unknown. A billboard advertising Tuckers Country Cooking caught our eye as we headed toward Clarksville and we decided to try it out. SO GLAD WE DID! The food was DELICIOUS and the service exemplary. The Fried Green Tomato BLT was perfect and the tater tots cooked to a yummy crunch just like theyre suppose to be. My husband had the Turkey Ribs, collards, and the most awesome cornbread salad Id ever eaten off his plate. I wish all my scenic routes took me to restaurants like Tuckers. Id be inclined to get lost more often. Theres no getting lost to get to Tuckers again. We know the way and you should too!!07 Jun, 2014Really Good Food. Tucker’s Cafe a Must. There’s a new restaurant on the square in Clarkesville and everyone should check it out. We’ve eaten there twice and had great food both times. Good ole southern meats and veggies are to die for. Cooked skillfully and with a flair! Today we had fantastic quesadillas for lunch – again done just right. The atmosphere is welcoming and sophisticated – nicely appointed. Enjoy walking the square and checking out the shops but pop into Tucker’s for a great meal. The best we’ve had in Clarkesville! Say hi to Tina – she rocks!
Good food!. Went there for the first time last night! Got the Chicken Philly. I loved it. Much more available on the menu, including Thurs, Fri, & Sat steak, pasta & fish specials. Next time we will try the fried green tomatoes or fried mushrooms and maybe a pasta dish. Very clean atmosphere, nice and friendly wait staff. Felt very welcomed, which we have found is hard to find these days. I also liked the casual feeling, how as we tend to avoid stuffy places. Parking allows for a very short walk down the sidewalk from the square parking lot or parking on the street. Would love to see everyone go in to support this local business since we would love to be able to go there for years to come!!
