I have visited this particular long horn many times and have not been disappointed. We were sat immediately, but a waitress never came to our table. After waiting about 10 minutes or so, we had to flag down the host and let him know that no one had been to our table yet. We got our drink orders taken and given bread. Our waitress then came and took our order. All of us ordered the 6 oz. Renegade Sirloin with various sides. I ordered it medium well with a side garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette and mashed potatoes. The side salad was the perfect size and very fresh. The steak was cooked well and the mashed potatoes were amazing. Another side that was ordered was the four cheese mac’ n cheese, which is amazing as well. Overall, I had a good experience and would return.
I had the opportunity to visit this location of Longhorn for a tasting of their new menu selections. My group had various appetizers, entries and desserts piled on to us and I must say that all the new selections were quite good. For appetizers, there were three new selections:Sweet Corn Fritters with Red Chili Ranch.Spicy Chicken Bites in chili-gingerHomemade Kettle Chips with a smoky BBQ sauce and horseradish aioliAnd one of their top sellers: Wild West Shrimp with ranchAll four were good but I believe the Wild West Shrimp will still remain the top seller it is – these were lightly breaded fried shrimp tossed with peppers and garlic butter, served with a nice ranch dressing – they were cooked to perfection, no rubber bands here!. The Spicy Chicken Bites were a close second – these were tossed in a sweet chili-ginger sauce and quite tasty and spicy. The salad was an unusual Grilled Watermelon Wedge salad – this had watermelon doused with honey and grilled so it had a smoky flavor that was new to me (I know, right?) – this was served with a super-green salad with romaine, kale, quinoa and goat cheese – the dish was drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette. This salad was a bit much for me – I would have been happy with the watermelon alone or the green salad alone.Course three was a choice of two signature steaks: Flo’s Filet or the Renegade Sirloin, or something new, the Grilled Hawaiian Ribeye. I chose the Flo’s Filet and was quite happy to have it with a side of asparagus. For the finish, we enjoyed two desserts – one of my favorites, the Chocolate Stampede and a Raspberry and Peach Tart – each served with vanilla bean ice cream – at this last point I was done – couldn’t hardly eat more than a couple of bites. independentrestaurantreview.com
