Im debating the 3 star thing but as I cant figure out half stars, Ill round up. I am willing to go that far only because I want to be fair and make some reservations about my experience here; I have not eaten on the hibachi side of the restaurant and it sounded lively and well staffed. That may have been the answer for the sketchy service. My wife and I ordered straight off the menu – no weird substitutions – and our meals came out in various sequences and separately! Our waitress looked a bit harried so it was obvious that she was having to work both sides of the place. Drink order was wrong, but no big deal – I was expecting sweet tea when I took my first huge slug. The dishes were tasty (once they all arrived) and my tempura plate was large and had good variety. We split an order of spring rolls which were quite average…as was the miso and I guess thats how this review is gonna go….. Average. There were knocks that I would normally mention and deduct for….. that are noted….. so. 3 stars is generous. At your own risk….

I haven’t given my opinion about a restaurant in years, but I couldn’t let this one go… It was the worst Asian food I’ve had, ever, I believe. The Pad Thai was just rice noodles, over cooked egg, and shrimp in a pool of soy sauce. Blah!!! The crab Rangoon was just a shell of deep fried cream cheese; I detected no crab, nor a hint of its flavor. My husbands fried rice had more of the same overcooked egg and the rice was very bland. The Tom kah spicy soup was very tasty, and was a good start, but the meal ended up being atrocious. The waiter was very kind and prompt, no problems there. The atmosphere seemed dark, dreary, and somewhat dirty. I had high hopes since we live close by. I am being generous by giving this place a rating of 2.
